2024 Guardians Regular Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Was over on the MLBTradeRumors site and saw that the Rockies picked up Peyton Battenfield and that brought back some memories and a chuckle. I don't know if I've ever been more surprised/disappointed that Battenfield and Pilkington haven't carved out MLB niches. I really thought both would be quality BOR SP with someone at this point. Now, Battenfield just signed a minor league deal with the Rockies and I have no idea where in the hell Pilkington is. You just never know.

Reno Aces in the DBax system..

Do the guardians do in-season extensions? Because we need to lock up Kwan and Naylor if so. They’ve done everything possible to deserve it.

Well, we can make jokes about where they’ll head together or take it as a positive sign that Naylor really wants to be here long term and will hopefully instruct his agent to get something done, just as Jose ultimately did

So who had April, 20th and 15-6 which is currently the best team in baseball on their bingo card?

After his 4-hit game today Kwan has the highest BA in baseball at .374.

He's also asked to be traded to any A.L. West team other than Oakland so he can hit against their staff more often.

The White Sox are averaging 2.00 runs per game. Boston is 1-3 against the Guardians, 11-7 against everyone else they've played.

Oakland is 1-5 against the Guardians and 7-8 against their other opponents.

I cannot remember if asked this or not but how for real are the Royals? I don’t keep up with baseball that much until after the playoffs. I follow through the eyes of @The Oi lol

The Royals are off to an impressive 13-8 start but let's look closer.

They are 3-5 against Baltimore and the Yankees (combined record of 27-14).

They are 10-3 against the White Sox, Astros, and Twins (combined record of 17-44).

They are 9-3 at home, 4-5 on the road.

They've been good at home and against bad teams, just OK on the road and against good teams.

In five games against the O's they're 2-3 but have outscored the O's by a score of 27-24. In three games against the Yankees they were outscored 15-13. So in eight games against a 14-7 and 13-7 team they've played them even, at least in terms of scoring. And they're crushing the bad teams.

I'd say they're legit. We don't play them until June.

thanks! I noticed they have the second best run differential in the majors only behind the Guards… so that makes sense if they are crushing the bad teams…

I think KC is really good. They got rid of a lot of dead weight and the youngins can play ball.
