2024 MLB Regular Season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
So being told he needs to learn to get on base more was just a euphemism for get on board with ownership? That's hella petty if that is the reasoning. Sadly, it makes more sense than their bullshit reasoning. How is he supposed to learn how to get on base more at the bigleague level by leading off in AAA? It's just moronic. Reminds me of when John Farrell tried to bury Brandon Phillips for smiling too much.
There is also some service time manipulation in play I think.

The A's got a shit return for Murphy. Ruiz is 25 and needs "further development."
He's a stiff, and I wish them all the worst.

Probably not quite HoF material, but close. Injuries did him in, not performance. Thanks for the memories.

There's a trend in major league sports where players get YUGE contracts and then shit the bed (injuries, scandals, poor performance, etc.).

I wonder why that is?
I saw a video talking about guys who got contracts based of their performance during the juiced ball era. Rendon was one of them.

2019 was ridiculous. And the Guardians felt the positive impact and very negative impact of relying on that.

Josh Bell and Franmil Reyes both hit 37 HRs that year. Franmil benefited us but we thought we had “that guy” and he now plays in Japan. But Josh Bell was signed to bring power and his 37 HRs were certainly cited as evidence of that.

Eddie Rosario was a big negative one. He hit 32 for Minny in 2019. And when he ended up here nothing close to that.

Carlos Santana hit 34 for us in 2019.

Our brief productive friend Kole Calhoun hit 33 that year.

Of course some of these guys have had good years but yeah some of the stats that year are just absurd.

Ok, so only making like 17 bets daily isn't a problem and the guy had some bad luck...

As was stated [by me] a number or times in a number of places.. people don't wager to win.. they wager to lose.. Mizu was successful.. I hope he likes 3 squares each day.. the snazzy orange jump suits and the knowledge that he's fulfilling his dream of cleaning up the highway from refuse and trash...

My goodness the O's lineup is loaded. I don't know when we play them, but our pitching better be in tip top form.

Quite a bit of transactions - this one caught my eye @Gson
