2024 Season | Series #6 | Guardians @ Red Sox | April 15-18, 2024

Didn't Vogt just say that Parsons was going to get IPs?

Oh yeah, Parsons will be there as the 27th man and/or injuries. Don't be surprised to see the organization have him at AAA to work on something...

Fry in the OF for 1st time this year .... Haven't seen Avila addition to 26 yet... Arias still in the line-up ... anyway he can.

I like getting Kwan a day off.
I know Laureano has been crap but Florial’s at bats have been even more painful to watch outside of a couple homers.

As tough as their starter was yesterday, I never felt good with a lineup that had Brennan, Florial, Hedges, and Rocchio in it.

Houck was on top of his game tonight. Hats off to him.

Raise your hand if you had Arias ever playing CF. I know I didn't.

Regroup and secure the series win tomorrow.

If this increase in batting is real, and not sure if it is, at some point the SS job has to be Arias as the defense is there. But I understand that Rocchio has done nothing to lose the opportunity to keep the job also.

Maybe Arias and his athletic ability makes a go of it at Center? That arm plays just the same in the outfield as the infield.

I know its a young team and Chase and Manzardo is the 1B or DH with Josh who i still hope we extend.

But SS and Centerfield are still an issue with nothing solved yet, but if Arias keeps hitting 80% like he has so far this season, one of those spots is filled.

So Kwan with his first day off, I get he needs a day off, sucks because of the way he has been hitting. I think we need to see more Fry, he has been hitting just to good in his limmited opportunities.

Question for those in the know, is he just not a great outfielder? If he can hit just .300 and OPS 800+ isnt he worth getting regular minutes in RF vs what we have? Why hasnt Fry been given more of a chance to win an every day job if they dont want him to catch?

Something to consider: CLE mgmt might feel having Arias at 3b & Rocchio at SS is better than the reverse.

I'm ready to be done with this ancient ballpark for another season.

I agree, and if they all hit like Juan Soto every night it wouldn't matter what the pitchers did.

I don't get your point.
The point is that great pitching beats great hitting...as it always has.

If a good pitcher comes in hot like Houck did, there is very little any offense can do.

And its why the overwhelming attention to offense is usually misplaced.

Cookie walks the first batter....never a good thing, and part of a continuing trend.

I don't think Cookie is gonna be the one to break the streak of starters not hitting 6 innings.

Duran steals a league leading seventh base.
