Only way to win consistently in 162 marathon is play defense. No Straw, and here we are still playing great defense all around. We had a booted ball today but every team we played against so far besides the Yankees had sloppy defense.

The position versatility this team has is unreal - and the defense hasn't seemed to suffer from moving guys around a ton.

Fry can play corner outfield, corner infield, and catcher - and he's got a .941 OPS right now.
Arias can play literally every position except catcher.
Freeman added center field to his repertoire along with being able to play the three non-1B infield slots.

Said wait until the book is out on him ....especially the lefty/righty pitching book (he has clearly been better vs lefties). Once I see that, I will believe more.

But, wouldn't go looking too deep on who said what because I own my mistakes ..... (we all make them)

Note, as I write this, I was the one pimping Gaddis in the pen since last Fall (versus some vet off the street).... I hope I can't win them all.... (for Fry's sake)

I was slightly messing with you... As long as he continues to do all the little things well, there is no way they will move on from Fry in his current role.

I also was like Gaddis needs to be in the pen last season, but I wasn't expecting what he is doing right now... He may end up being our long term setup man...
