Do Not Sell My Personal Information
For some, those are the hardest three words in the English language.

Among those in the know on most topics, "I don't know, let me find out" is the quickest way to earn someone's trust.

IF we could find out we would... lol

Okay this is the idea...

Rockies need a reboot and we want to upgrade/add talent to our roster...

Cleveland gets
OF Brenton Doyle
SP Ryan Feltner
3B Kyle Karros

Rockies get
OF Valera
SS Rocchio
OF Straw
RP Tanner Burns
RP Lenny Torres

Thoughts @Gson @CDAV45 @petes999 (also Gson, no Romo isn't going to be involved since their catchers are older and likely to be traded, so humor me and look at this deal)

My thought process...

One, Laureano is gone... Doyle takes the OF spot... Valera doesn't have a spot anymore in my mind, so getting a pitcher back for him makes sense...

Now, when it comes to Rocchio, I get he's still a good prospect, but I feel like we need SP help and the choices are few and far between. Feltner has some team control and actually hasn't done bad for the Rockies, but would do better with Cleveland and his price will be high hence why I want to move Straw in the deal...

Rockies then add two at least bullpen arms back in the deal with Torres and Burns... Both likely to make their 25 team out there...

Sorry took a while to catch-up. The trade from our prospective it is not giving up a lot other than Rocchio/Valera who have kind of flamed out (prospect value wise) but from Colorado's prospective the question is why???? They are not giving up on their #3 starter when their #1 starter is Quantrill (due to same injuries we are having). Why Rocchio for them when they have Tovar and Amador in AA (more utility for them)? Maybe they prefer Brito back for 2nd. And, yes you threw in Straw as their CF which they need to replace Doyle but if they are rebuilding why are they spending money on Straw??? They have Fernandez, Beck and Veen all about ready so where does Valera fit in? And, like those three, Valera is more likely end up in the corners and not a true CF. They want SP and we took one from them and gave them back relievers.

From our prospective, we win by giving up Straw. Rocchio may be missed as our SS hole isn't filled yet and they are investing a lot of time on Rocchio this year (like they should have with Arias last year if nor for Rosario). Doyle has suddenly gone from a 20/30 FG hit grade to hitting .300, don't expect it to last. But, has power and speed .... like we wanted Benson to develop into. Just don't expect his 446 BABip to last (like Fry). Don't know much about Feltner but seems to be BOR (4th/5th) starter to me with his FB,SL,CH combo (as he is reducing his others) -- at least for cleveland (MOR for Col). But, what do I know. He has a few options left which is the type of guy we need with so many like Lively and Cookie out of options. Seems to have pitched better this year than in past. But, again, why would Colorado give up on him without a SP in return?
