Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Williams will be back before too long. Same goes for Cantillo. We have Curry, Lively and Beede. They have Barria signed to a minor league deal. I don't think they'll be picking anyone like Martin up. What is it with you and grabbing every fringe player that gets designated?

I could see a trade for Blackburn though so that's worth keeping an eye on however unlikely it may be. They A's will need someone to help eat innings as part of the package.

I mean Cleveland and small market teams live in the waiver wires since you can never truly have to much depth in a sense.

Corbin Martin actually has an option left, so he would make sense as a temporary roster spot guy in a sense. He was a top 100 prospect at one point as well. He's coming off an injury I believe in 23 as well...

Now, Grover and I cannot come to any semblance of a trade between the A's and Guardians that makes sense from the educated fan base side of things. A's love big arm pitchers... Cleveland focuses on command... A's need pitching the most, but our big arm guys would be more like Cantillo, Clemmey, Walters etc... I don't think we would move any of them period for Blackburn...

I think there is enough waire wire/marginal talent types signed Coach. That's not how you build a roster and they don't need to be in Columbus blocking actual prospects either.

Eh, when it comes to starting pitching, you can never really have enough...

We have room for another pitcher to acquire from outside the organization... I know they are always looking for the next Maton in a sense...

Building depth is what you're referring to.. like this suggested deal from someone named KRock_6:

https://www.baseballtradevalues.com/trades/165803

The only guy in this deal that has a chance to immediately contribute is Gabriel Arias.. the rest are 2025 ETA or later.. Both the pitchers have higher floors than imagined ceilings.. The OF'er has some talent and is a switch hitter.. Thoughts?

I don't think will move Arias til the trade deadline IF we even move him... I really don't think we should...

I don't know the prospects all that well, but my belief is Cleveland will want around 15 value to part with Arias, but the idea of trading from depth to help other areas makes sense...

How does a roster move for the CWSox belong here.. smh..

Because I can! This is the GM thread! We are allowed to be GMs here so IF you don't like me thinking about master Cribbage player and everyone's grandpa back in Cleveland then you can just ignore it!

Thoughts @Gson @CDAV45

Essentially I am trying to get Brenton Doyle from the Rockies, replacing Laureano... He would be our long term RH Defensive CF... He has a lot more natural pop than someone like Straw does and is a solid fielder...

Humor me, and IF Cleveland wanted to get him, who would you be willing to give up?

Okay... here is the idea...

Orioles get Luzardo... Marlins get some hitting... I expect Arraez will be traded for more prospects as well in a different deal...

Cleveland gets in the deal and gets some prospects in a sense...

From Clevelands stand point, we trade Morgan + Burns + Mooney for C Will Banfield, SP Jacob Miller and OF Hudson Haskins...

How the roster plays out...

Dion gets promoted to the MLB club and takes a bullpen spot...

Banfield is Hedges 25 successor... Haskins takes Laureano's spot when healthy as our 4th OF... Miller is a solid looking SP prospect and doesn't need protected until next off season...

WTF do we need Dion in the BP for?

This deal sucks ass for Cleveland and helps the Marlins immensely.

Fry is Hedges successor.

You have an odd idea about building a competitive MLB roster. If you're not adding an impact player then don't fuck with it. These kids are starting to play well. We just need guys like Hedges and Laureano out of the way much in the same way we needed Rosario out of the way.

Laureano I agree with, but Hedges was brought in for a reason and I have Dion being a reliever not a starter...

You have to accept Hedges was brought in and will be here...

Also this isn't a move for short term but a long term move... Marlins will get a lot for Luzardo, so I was trying to swap prospects to add to our organization... Jacob Miller could end up being a sleeper in the deal since he has three plus off speed pitches. His velo is down from an injury in 23... Haskins is a plus defensive CF in a loaded Orioles farm system and Banfield is a plus defensive C...

IF we feel Miller can be the number 3 starter again, we make this deal...

No, I don't have to accept anything and you don't know if he "will be here" or not. The idea around dealing Hedges is sound and the idea that Hedges is no longer a need is also sound. You're talking to a large, grown man son. Don't tell me what I have to accept and what I don't.

The entire trade from the Guardians' perspective is just silliness. If you don't understand that then I don't know what to say.

There is no way this deal is made. Absolutely none.

Any prospects to trade for out of Boston's system with Trevor Story out? A MI for Luis Parales? Or do the Red Sox wait for a Marcelo Mayer call up later in the year?

Not really.. there are a few names to look at and/or see if they develop.. The name: Brian Mata might be a potential.. but he's more likely to be a throw in that would END a deal as the Red Sox like him more than whatever he'd be thrown in for.. Mata has a chance to be a useful arm out of the bullpen at the highest levels.. Kyle Teel is a good prospect catcher... that would cost a LOT..
