People who say Mingo was lazy or didn't have good stats didn't really watch tape of him or realize how he was utilized in the LSU scheme. McSchay even said he wasn't asked to rush the passer often, instead it was to drop back in coverage/contain the run. Also, he was double teamed a lot off the edge. Scouts Inc. noted that he has a non-stop motor, good attitude and rarely gets tired. He doesn't have much of an injury rap sheet either.

As Smooth said, this is a deep CB/S class. We can hopefully nab one in the 3rd round and a TE/OG in the 4th.

I like this pick a lot, it gives Horton a lot of versatility within the front 7. Now we need to fill our other needs.

Love this pick! That's two years in a row the Browns get my favorite player in the draft.

So pumped to watch this defense. Mingo is going to be an absolute terror for the rest of the AFC North. The Browns finally have a feared pass rusher.

When I heard this kid's name for the first time, I said to myself, "Barkevoius? Oh, this guy is a Brown for sure". Best name in the draft if you think there is something to names. Would have preferred Jordan but I'm not mad at Mingo. Won't have a ton of pressure on him as a rookie and should be allowed to develop, I like it.

But they had capable CBs. Joe is awesome but we don't have much else at CB and FS scares me.

This draft is CRAZY deep at CB. Not worried about the Browns getting a good one.

Not sure.

He also has brothers Hugh and Hughtavious, named after Hugh Sr....so there's that.

Look, I've never been the biggest Mingo fan but I've always understood why he would be the pick. That said, Walter Football is hilariously absurd with their analysis.
