He mislead the media (they deserve it) they should have done their jobs and asked follow ups.

He was open with the Packers, his teammates and the League.

He also violated league rules by not wearing a mask when he was supposed to on the sidelines or during press conferences, which further pushed the narrative that he was vaccinated.

And his absence could potentially cost his team home field advantage in the playoffs.

If Baker did this and it cost us games, we'd all be absolutely fucking livid.

The league knew he wasn't vaxxed. If they wanted to punish him for breaking their rules they should have.
I don’t blame the guy for not wearing masks. Asking pro athletes to limit their oxygen during competition is dangerous and dumb.
Either enforce the rule or not. Fine him or don't.

I keep hearing the “he didn’t say he was vaccinated” argument. I get that “immunized” doesn’t always mean vaccination, but he lied.

The question asked was “Are you vaccinated and what is your stance on vaccination?” to which he replied, “Yeah, I’ve been immunized.” Forget the word “immunized” for a second. The first word he says to “are you vaccinated?” is “yeah.”

Beyond that, the literal definition of “immunized” is “make (a person or animal) immune to infection, typically by inoculation.” Ultimately, I don’t see how that is “misleading.” He straight up lied by answering in the affirmative to a question asking if he was vaccinated.

Listen brother. The important people knew his status. His teammates, the organization and the league. He mislead the media. They'll get no sympathy from me. He said he was trying to avoid getting attacked by the woke mob.

This is something you guys care deeply about and something I just don't care about. No point continuing the conversation.

To your first point, I agree. They should punish him. It's ridiculous that they allowed him to flaunt their rules for so long to begin with. Not liking a rule is not an acceptable excuse for violating it. If I went out and murdered someone tonight, would an acceptable argument in my defense be that I disagree with the laws that make murder illegal? Of course not. Aaron Rodgers is employed by an organization that has enacted rules for covid and he should be expected to follow those rules whether he agrees with them or not.

To your second point, the rules are the rules. If he doesn't want to wear a mask on the sidelines or during media sessions, there's a simple solution. Get the fucking shot.

He didn't want the shot. Sounds like he got his cake and ate it too. He said fuck yo shot and fuck yo rules and they NFL said "Yes Daddy"

Yeah, but now the cat is out of the bag and the NFL is likely going to be forced to act, and his punishment may be harsher for flagrantly flaunting his rule-breaking for half the season than it would have been otherwise.

And, more importantly, he may cost his team two games (or more) and potentially homefield advantage in the playoffs.

If that is true, then any anger should be directed at the league/team. Lying to the media didn't harm anyone.

The NFL certainly did itself no favors by covering up for Rodgers, which ironically will probably end up hurting Rodgers and the Packers more than anyone else as they're forced to overcorrect when they inevitably punish him and/or the team.

Although, if we're being honest, the NFL is probably ecstatic that the stupidity of Rodgers and Ruggs plus the Odell drama has effectively made everyone forget about their email scandal.

I hate that valid criticism towards someone being a selfish, deceitful person with a wide spreading influence due to their popularity is now always labeled as them being "cancelled" or "victims of the woke mob".

Seems like the people who use that verbiage want people to be tougher, thicker skinned, etc. but can't take an ounce of criticism without crying out those trigger words.

I haven’t forgot about Goodell being a clueless anti football pussy.
