Unless I'm reading you wrong, you're admitting that Tressel is guilty, but with good reason.

Regardless, he's busted either way, whether his reasoning is right or wrong.

I'm just glad Pryor chose O-H............................I-O-U (a car) instead of Michigan years ago. It was bad enough with the mess that Jerk Rod left us. I'm just glad this happened now instead of in a year or two, that way Michigan and OSU should respectively have their programs straightened out at roughly the same time (depends on NCAA punishment) and the rivalry shouldn't have any tarnishment to it that many will put on it since Tressels been at OSU with these infractions.

It's impossible to read him right. He does nothing but spin, spin, spin. He'll start out with "we're just talking tattoos" even though he fully understands that there are much more serious charges that the NCAA is worried about. Then it's blame the sleazy lawyer, criminal tattoo guy, disgruntled former players, Sports Illustrated, etc....never blame Pryor or Tress. There was of course no cover up, Tress was protecting the investigation! Or the funniest spin ever - Tress was performing his own investigation before informing the compliance office. If you finally back b00bie into a corner, then he'll just claim that USC, Bama, Oregon are all worse...or that it's the NCAA's fault...or that the rules are just stupid. Rinse and repeat...

Actually, I've said numerous times Tressel is at fault for not telling compliance.

You just want to glaze over that fact and pretend I'm only in this to defend Tressel to the death. And while I think he should be defended, should not have been fired and has been railroaded...that doesn't mean he's still at fault for not telling compliance in the first place.

I'm just saying, there are certainly reasons he DID NOT tell compliance as well.
