ALDS Game 4: Can Byrd perform?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
JoBo warming up to clsoe out the series....

Yankees in 5 :(

Joe Blow...thank god no one was on base...jesus christ why did we take out Betancourt.

Man he scares me so much coming in.Raffy should have closed it out,GO TRIBE F THE YANKEES!!!

I remember I had an Accounting test the night of Game 1 vs. Boston in '95 (Tony Pena's walkoff HR). Thankfully I only missed the first couple innings of that epic game. Let's hope Cavs1 brings the same luck to the Tribe tonight.

It worked! Woohoo! And I didn't do too bad on the test either....awesome night.

F yeah

What a great win tonight. Of course Joe Bo had to take a couple years off my life but they got it done. What a job by Byrd to battle through those 5 innings. Our bullpen ERA was 1.38 for the series and we batted .315.

Whole lot of flashbacks to the '95 era Indians. They were much like the Yankee sluggers, all trying and used to clubbing the big hits, but not so hot at getting the little hits. Byrd was like most of the starters of that era who bent and you hoped didn't break, and like Borowski - Jose Mesa usually found a way to scare us before getting the save.

Well, except that one time ...

:( o the painful memory...

Am I the only one that though Joe was just going to give up the lead in solo homeruns?

Boy, it sure seemed that way when Posada crushed that one that just went foul.

Hats of to the Tribe. They played very sound playoff baseball: good pitching and timely hitting. I'm glad that there wasn't a Game 5, because now we can start C.C. and Carmona in Games 1 and 2. Boston sure looked good in their first round matchup, however, so it's not going to get any easier.

Now we have a few days off to let our heart rates return to normal...

Yup Wedgie sticking to his guns by throwing Byrdie in game 4 despite all of the heat he took for it, really worked out well for us. Time for CC to have a bounce back game and start the series off right against the Sux. When CC is on, no one can hit him, not even Boston, lets juts hope he's on.

Great pics Chiefwahoo, thanks.

Props to Wedge for sticking to his guns and succeeding. Reminds me a bit of Hargrove though -playing it by the book no matter what. JoBo scares me, much like Mesa did in 97. If we had the '95 Mesa in '97 we would have won game 7.

NY didn't get much for their 196M collection of talent once again this year. It's sweet that the Indians were the team to take them down.

I think the ALCS winner also wins the WS. Just better teams in the AL and home field advantage. This could be our year! What could be better than defeating both NY and Boston on the way to a title?
