I get it.
My alternative take would be that in a friendship, friends can “put each other down” for anything because they know their “enjoyments/desires” either don’t exist, they both share the enjoyments/desires and it’s a tit for tat type thing or there’s a mutual enjoyment of busting balls.
Actual bullying where there’s no established relationship def sucks. There’s also a fetish that’s developed for attacking celebrities and even attempting to cause their downfall. I don’t think it’s anything new, but with social media it’s much much easier. There are many people who push an anti-bullying stance and at the same time personally bully celebrities.
It’s a strange dichotomy. I know where it comes from (depression, desperation, unhappiness, low self esteem, etc) but the ability to separate the two is odd.
The other thing I described...development of trust between friends through ballbusting and false attacks is basically the equivalent of animals playing. I always felt it was healthy and natural. Feels good after.
Fucking furry.
