He is nothing more then average...

I can live with him... But it's not like he's a game changer...

Andra is the man. Average? Perhaps. But he's our best linebacker, and it's good to have some loyalty & leadership on the team.

Him and Orpheus Roye. Lock 'em up.

Agree with LePip...he is an above avg LB..he wont hurt our LB core, but he doesnt make it better.

Thompson is our most talented LB, he is going to be a very good LB once he puts it all together, he gets better every week.

But I do like this signing, Im glad he will be back.

Now lets get that kid from Penn St or Hawk in the draft..

I got a little problem with this, if you put ray lewis in davis's shoes he isnt the great player that he is. Davis plays behind a terrible line and he still gets tackles. Yes some of them are 5 yards down field but lets be honest, i dont think any linebacker would be doing that much better.

He might not be a game changer, but if he was not playing for us right now our defense would be much worse.
 
Did I just see the name Ray Lewis mentioned in the same paragraph with Andra Davis ? I going to pretend I didn't read that...

Bottom line, they have one thing in common, they're both black...
 
The thing is, Lewis makes things happen, Andra doesnt.

You wont see Andra blowing a block up and making a huge tackle, but he makes sold tackles and doesnt make a lot of mistakes.
 
andra is solid like when he spied palmer on that play even tho it looked like palmer never saw him.last time i checked he was 3rd in the nfl in tackles.he had 20 in week 2 against the packers,i rly love the signing.chaun thompson is the most talented but he hasnt hit the full potential yet,chaun was ready to be a bust until this year he started proving its coming together.
 
ok, watch the times when the ravens play against a team with a superior line, the chiefs for one, and he got dominated, manhandeld. im not saying davis is as good as lewis pipp, but once again you are to slow to make conclusions. :weirdo:

Andra is barely in Donnie Edwards class much less Ray's...

Have you ever thought about the fact that teams will ZERO in on Ray in their game plans because of his greatness..

He is a top 5 LB of all time (probably top 3)

Teams go into games trying to stop Ray... I'm sure they don't game plan for 'DRA..

Mr. Cali, you were the individual that brought the name Andra Davis into that, and compared their situations, not me...

I never brought him up... You did, dumbass... So I ask, what are you not understanding ?

If you can say Lewis would not be the player that he is if he was here... I can say Davis is not as great of a player as some other LB's...

I think Ray would...he is a monster. He plays on a very good team and that helps, but great LBs will be great LBs regardless of the system.

Now avg LBs and be good LBs in a system, ie. Teddy B in NE, Cowart when he was in Buff, Sharper in Balti...etc..etc..
