Andre Drummond - LeBron's Robin

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm so sick of this team or that team would be interested in Drummond IF there was a buyout. Who cares?
If there was a buyout, you can pay him peanuts and get one of the best rebounders around.
But a buyout does nothing for the Cavs. Except maybe grease the skids to get Altman out the door.

They got him for nothing, he picked up his option. Buying him out would save money, and we have his replacement already that they got for nothing. How in the world would this hurt any GM ?

Drummonds me first attitude and not caring about winning is a large reason why this guy is untradeable. Nobody wants that on their roster.

League needs to make it easier for impending FAs to secure buyouts after the trade deadline. A late in-season FA frenzy would do wonders for league exposure. Maybe it even needs to be written into new contracts.

I still think Toronto is a logical place landing spot with Lowry most likely being traded. If we can get expirings or even semi useful players back on 2 year contracts plus a young player or a pick, I think it gets done.

I also think New York could be an option and send Knox plus some contracts to match since they have about 15 million to absorb part of his contract.

No one is giving up useful players or a pick for Andre Drummond. I'd be thrilled to be wrong, but I can't see it happening...

Powell scored 43 and they still lost to the 10-29 Pistons? Wow.

Siakam, Lowry, and VanVleet combined to go 7-for-37. Maybe Powell had no assists because nobody else could make a shot.

Milwaukee beat Philly in OT with Embiid out. Philly is looking good along with Brooklyn.

With each passing day the odds of us just simply buying him out are growing rapidly.

Right now I think it's about 75% chance we buy him out..

pretty funny to read the posts on the first page of this thread

Thats all any team is doing..waiting on the Cavs to buy Drum out and sign him.

I hate that Aldridge is also out there, giving teams another trade option... not that there's much comparison between the two talent-wise.

Then again, that gap goes away if these contenders only need a big that can come of the bench for 10 minutes.

I think a 2nd round pick or a player like Kevin Knox could be on the table. Not great assets but if the Knicks want to secure Drummond instead of competing for him in the buyout market, it makes sense. That it worth trying him out before paying him in free agency next summer.

Toronto could be a 3 way deal and the Cavs get a asset or young player for taking the bad contracts back for wherever Lowry goes. Toronto then gets to try out Drummond.

He still has value for us after the trade deadline for a possible sign and trade this summer. No reason at all to buy him out

I just don't think anybody actually wants him
