Cavs Talk is merely where we air our dirty laundry.

Unfortunately sometimes that seems to be the case..

The mod section of this site got a little chippy the other night in regards to a subject or two.. But, like the Cavs, we keep it "in house"... Except for when we don't..:chuckles:

Don't we have a thread for this, I thought we went over this the other day....

Can you guys give each other a blog here so the illegal-trade-speculation threads don't get all cluttered-up?

ROFL!:chuckles:

Ridnour just doesn't strike me as the guy who would be the right fit for this team, I'd much rather have Gibson running the point...

Ridnour is a 'decent' shooter but the thing is that he's very inconsistent... We don't need another streaky shooter in Ridnour, we already have Marshall, Jones and Hughes to give us that... We don't need another...

The other thing that bothers me is that he's a below-average defender... He's not a guy who can guard SG's by any measures, which means he'll be stuck on PG's and he'll be pretty much abused by Hinrich, Billups, and Williams...

He's a solid player but there's no use in getting a player that doesn't fit... At this point we don't necessarily need to stock pile on talent, but more so on fit...

Also Morrison + Brezec just seems to sweet for Snow... It makes sense that they would want him, but not for Morrison as poorly as he's been...

The PG's that I'd want in the order:

1). Mike Bibby
2). Jason Terry
3). The rest

After Terry and Bibby, no one really gets me excited... Beside those two, no one else gives us a scoring threat that we need and is able to defend in the same package...

This works and fills our big needs. Would the 76ers do it? Doubt it, but we can throw in 1st if need be. The 76ers need cap space opened up to re-sign Iggy and still bring in more help:

Shannon and Ira's expiring deals w/ Eric Snow

for

Andre Miller and Reggie Evans.

Reggie can fill the back up PF role, and keep our rebounding near tops in the league. Why would the 76ers deal him? He has 3 years left on his contract. Andre and Snow's contract are interchangeable really.....and the 76ers will likely want to start losing to get themselves high in the lottery. Add in our first, and I don't see why not........

I dont see them wanting to do that at all unless they are extremely high on Shannon Brown which is very doubtful. Expirings are valuable in this league, but not that valuable.

Louis Williams is ready to blow up. I personally see the 76ers moving Andre this year. No reason to keep him, especially with Williams needing PT to develop. Will we get him, especially w/ the aforementioned trade? Obviously not. But with whispers of Boston's interest in Andre the Cavs/ Ferry need to throw everything they can against the 76ers wall to see what sticks. If Boston gets Andre we are toast.

I still dont see him as a good fit on top of that. We need a shooter out of our PG IMO. Sure it would be nice to have Dre setting up shots for everyone else, but the D could still just collapse with poor shooters like Miller and Hughes out there. He'd be an upgrade, but not the right piece. Personally, Im tired of getting square pegs for round holes. As for Boston making a run at him... so what? What do they have left on that roster that could possibly interest the Sixers? It certaintly wont be any draft picks if they have any left since that will be bottom of the 1st round anyway. I dont think Miller makes them significantly better actually, but again thats all personal feelings.
