If Schwartz keeps running his route, that's not an interception.

However, Baker threw a hospital ball. He had other options on the play, and trying to fit it in between five guys to Schwartz meant he had to be perfect--and he wasn't. He could've thrown it closer to where Schwartz ended up. Where he threw it, he was leaving his young rookie out to dry.

Schwartz absolutely has to keep going and break up that interception. Full stop. He fucked up. However, Baker wasn't perfect here either. It's an area our offense can get better.

The fact that we can be this nitpicky with such a young offense is awesome. We're playing like a coach, QB and organization that have been together for a decade rather than still figuring it all out on the fly.

It was 3rd and 13 so Baker did force this throw in there. I'd rather Baker be aggressive on 3rd down then check down and probably gain 8 or 9 yards. Even if Schwartz did what he was supposed to, it would likely have been incomplete and we would have had to punt, but he does need to finish his route, so it doesn't get intercepted.

This board shredded Mayfield two years ago against the Jets for getting Njoku hurt on a throw that led him into dangerous territory.

Schwartz definitely fucked up, but Mayfield certainly did him no favors physically by even attempting that throw.

Its still 90/10 on Schwartz. Maybe it was too tight of a window, but we will never know because the Schwartz just completely stopped running his route and it resulted in both a turnover and the starting QB get injured.
