This one scares me... Things are just going a little too well..

I Hope CC has his head on straight for this first game against Dan Harren and the A'S..

Sabathia seems to get a little to pumped up for games against his hometown team.

Hopefully he mixes his pitches well lke his last two starts, and just doesn't throw fastballs like early in the year.. His Curveball has been his best Pitch as of late..

Luckily, the A's best hitters are Lefties, so this shouldn't be a right handed dominated lineup.

I honestly believe if we can keep hitting, we can catch the White Sox. They are falling hard and I read we still have 6 games left with them???

That could be huge..I would set the focus on winning the division and not the Wild Card if I was the Tribe.

This is a huge series, and we should def take two. I believe we play Zito in the third game, and that will be a tough match up. Indian hitters struggle against movement pitchers.

exactly amac.. we arent out of the wildcard.. we keep winning and the whitesox keeps losing.. what happend to them? we need to keep it up.. I still think the yanks and indians will win the division and the red sox and white sox will battle for wildcard..

i went to yesterdays game and all i can say is wow! the jake is getting packed, its taking me back to 97... i am also going to tomorrow's game and most likely saturdays game..

im saving some side cash for playoff tickets.

What happened to the White Sox was inevitable sp??. They had piss poor (for lepip) offense the entire year. The pitching staff was pitching out of their butt the entire year carrying the team, and a couple of injuries to an already average batting lineup is costing them.

Like I said, if we can continue to hit, produce runs, we have a legit chance to lock up the wildcard with games against the As and Yanks left and also push for the AL Central title.

Aim high and you accomplish lesser feats along the way. I like that idea AMac. With all the WIld Card fever people have ignored that the SOX have been falling apart lately. Thing is that the SOX play the Royals while the Indians play the A's. Tough for the Indians to make up games this week.

God the Indians are looking good. 20 games over .500 and 1-1/2 games UP on the Yanks in the WC is no simple task for a young team. We are hungry out there man! Look at the faces of Coco and Sizemore out and Cliff Lee too. Cliff reminds me of Orel hershiser. Grady is pretty even-keel but he just looks so confident all the time. And Coco? I love Coco! Hes a good interview too.

C.C.'s gotta gotta GOT TO pitch well tonight. haren is tough and as was eariler stated things have just been going to smooth lately. Though the crowds have been goin nuts and really helping out lately.

Heres the thing... Teams that win big games have the killer instinct.Boy did we ever show it against the Twins. Far as Im concerned we just put them away for the season. Now we have a chance to put the A's as many as 6 games back with a sweep and potentially kill their hopes. We have the opportunity to do our part to get rid of another competitior this week. If we sweep and grab a 10 game win streak we would be in great shape.

I want 2 runs or less in a 7 inning performance from C.C. tonight. I dont think we're gonna score too many tonite. Just got a feeling.

We are lucky, they are missing Harden and Crosby, I love CC pitching against their predominatly lefty lineup, if CC can keep a lead till the 6th or so we can get to Howry and then to Wickman..man if we win this im going through the roof..its weird its kinda hard to remember when we last lost..

Wicky has been so dependable lately. Its funny cause our bullpen isnt really yelled about too much in the media but they are one of the primary reasons why we are in the position we are in.

Such a huge improvement form last year. I think people forget that we lost Rhodes too who had been awesome in pretty much every appearance.

Dont wanna jinx but if we make the p'offs weve got that big ingredient that gets you places...

Just making the playoffs will help attract free agents as well, and we arent a team like the yanks where they have maxed out their potential we have 2 gems in sizemore and peralta who are amazing crisp and hafner and martinez who are tearing the league up and the best farm system in baseball..how many times do u see a player like around 30 wants to win all star caliber signs a 5 year deal or so but he goes to a good team they play well 2 years and go into rebuilding in year 3 and he is still there, our youth makes us more attractive plain and simple.

We dont have the best farm system in baseball...but we do have some good pitching talent and some position players.

Wow we are only 5.5 behind the Sox.. Tribe is on a rool.. 1-0 now in the top of the 5th.. Come on Tribe make it 8 in a row!!

Very rarely do I ever blame umpires or referees for a loss..

But the home plate and 1st base ump have been terrible tonight..

CC had been getting squeezed tonight by that home plate ump, and that 1st base ump blew 2 calls on check swings.. Jhonny P. did not go on that one in the 1st inning.

CC has pitched his ass off tonight, he didn't have his best stuff, but that is what is turning him around as a pitcher.. He isn't just throwing hard and trying to blow it by them, he is attacking them other ways and is atcullay pitching when he doesn't have his best stuff..

I don't think there is a comeback in the cards tonight boys, clearly the Athletics wined and dined the umpire crew because they have called a horrible game, if it wasnt right down broadway he wasnt calling any strikes for CC. Jhonny didnt go around he checked it and they had like way more close checks on the a's and the umps gave it no thought...oh well 1 down 2 more to go go tribe!

well you cant win them all, luckily the yanks didnt play so they only gained a .5 a game.

Any baseball player will tell you that they want the umps to be consistant, and the strike zone that he was giving, abiet it seemed low, was consistant.

The problem remains with hitting, like Ive been saying, we need the sticks to hit.

too funny... I got exactly what I asked for from C.C. (7 innings with 2 runs) but as I called it was a low scorer and our bats sucked tonite. We're ok... Gotta win the next 2 tho or we are in big trubs!
