Man fuck that. Warlock is a boss
Man fuck that. Warlock is a boss
Thanos has been built up over the past ten years though, he’s featured fairly heavily in Avengers and GotG.
Adam Warlock would have been a completely different animal to tackle especially since he’s just now being born in that pod.
If they hadn’t established that, yes, they probably could have snuck him into the microverse in Ant-Man, or introduced him in Captain Marvel.
Danvers most likely takes his place as an OP cosmic entity, but in the end the glory will go to one of the originals Avengers.
- We know all the dead superheroes who were 'snapped' are coming back, so why make it seem like an inevitability in the movie?
- Groot used himself to make the stormbreaker - infact he is responsible for the handle. So when Groot disappears does Stormbreaker lose its handle ?
Thanos was featured in Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers 2.I must've completely missed all of that, because I recall him being on screen for less than a minute?? Maybe I just don't remember?
Warlock being "born" doesn't really matter ... it could be a new body. Think about his cocoon phase from a dead criminal in Infinity War.
That's the thing though.. I don't know how the bolded works... The Avengers attacking Thanos head on, even with Captain Marvel, would get decimated. And without Mistress Death being a factor, I'm not sure what's to stop Thanos from just snapping them out of existence?
There was a reason he couldn't do that with Adam Warlock, and a reason he didn't do it with the Avengers (until he felt like just killing them off).

When you guys say "featured" what do you mean by that?
This movie could have been shorter. When i walked out the theater, i was not disappointed like the other movies but i still felt like Thanos was not as bad ass as I wanted him to be. While this is one of the better made movies, a lot of things about the movie bother me.

- Scarlette Witch was able to use use one hand to destroy Visions mind stone and another hand to keep Thanos with the Infinity stones at bay. Come on Thanos, you are better than that, stop being a Demar Derozan and start being a LeBron James.
- Black Widow beating up alien monsters and one of the children of Thanos, African Warriors with wooden stick (the Hanuman tribe) beating up alien monster that can come through a powerful shield that protects Wakanda and gets stabbed by wood ... come on !!!
- I know Bruce Banner cant turn back into the Hulk after his fight with Thanos, but does he also lose his intelligence ? Which college did he get his PhD from ?
- The fight in Titan where Thanos gets trapped. So, Thanos with the infinity gaunlet and most of the infinity stones loses to Starlord, Spiderman, Ironman, Mantis lady, Drax and Strange ? Come on. Most of these people are humans/flesh, use the infinity stones to change them to something else like he did when u took Gamora in the first place. Strange with the mystical realm is the only sort of adversary for Thanos, the rest should be easy peasy, yet he gets trapped, almost loses it until Starlord mucks up. Come on!
- Loki's death. Loki, the diabolical genius and the god of tricks wants to use a simple dagger to stab Thanos and kill him, knowing full well that there is a very high chance of failure and that if he fails then he can get killed? Wont it be better to just think of escaping, regroup and then attack ? What is the motivation ? Seems pretty dumb.
- Is it just me or did Thanos seem more bad ass in the comics ? Maybe i was young and felt that way ?

Dont get me wrong, this movie is much better than the tripe Justice League or some of the other crappy Marvel movies, but this movie is in no way An Empire Strikes Back. This movie still has too much needless hero bull and for a much touted super villain he does not seem so evil or ruthless or effective. KillMonger with less resource brought pain to Wakanda. Sir Ian McKellans Magneto felt more focused on his objective. Red Skull felt more evil.
- BTW .... Was Mephisto there in the movie and i missed it ?
I presume you are a reader of the comic books. I'm not, nor are the vast majority of the people who see those movies. Unless you are, or unless you read up on it in threads like this and don't care if you're spoiled, you really don't know that they're coming back.
I don't think the hand is an independent being -- it was basically dead wood (pun intended) once he severed it. So, it wouldn't be affected by the spell. Or at least, that's an explanation I'd accept.

1. I think all of Thanos' battles in the film have to be taken with the caveat from his fight with the Hulk in the beginning. Ebony Maw: "Let him have his fun." This is in line with the source material; Thanos enjoys the sport of winning and that requires the chance, no matter how small, of defeat.
2. I think Loki is alive. 1) His body did not revert to Frost Giant, 2) His actions are in line with someone trying to distract and then mislead. He probably used the Tesseract to whisk his true self away at some point prior to the events we saw.
