Baker Mayfield: Fire The Cannons

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Wow Mayfield back to +1500.

Trubisky at +1200….some fool bought this smh

I like me JuJu smith schuster @+2500, this dude could ball out in KC.

Sam Darnold played great in that first series....stood in the pocket, taking hits, leads Carolina to FG on the 1st series.

If only Mayfield could do that, he sucks!!!!

He's gonna roll us and RCF will implode.

I'm rooting for him, as I think it was a mistake to move on from him. The potential to improve was immense after the coaching carousel and injuries, but if he in fact was a malcontent that divided the locker room, then no love lost. That can only be determined by being in there with the team, as I don't trust much of the media reports with agendas and talking pieces.

Maybe. I don't think the Browns with Brissett can be called comfortable favorites against anyone. That Panthers team, even though their defense is a bit depleted, still has the weapons to beat anyone--especially early on before CMC inevitably gets hurt again.

I have us favored, but a loss won't surprise me.

I strongly disagree with this. I think it's clear that Baker isn't good enough to be the engine that drives a team to a Super Bowl. So, it's time to go find that guy--even if it costs us one step backwards in order to do so.

I think there's more merit to arguing whether or not Watson is the right guy than arguing whether or not we should've moved on from Baker.

This feels like a take that's as biased as those you're trying to pooh-pooh. It's ok to not trust blindly, but every single piece of evidence points to one conclusion. When you ignore evidence that doesn't fit the narrative you want to believe, you're no better.

When there weren't even any players speaking up for Baker during this offseason, that was all I needed to hear. The silence was deafening.

I wish him luck in Carolina. I hope he holds down a starting job, but to me his ceiling is someone who's better than Kirk Cousins and Derek Carr, approaching Matt Ryan. He's okay, but you're not winning a Super Bowl with him unless you have another engine, like a defense, that can get you there.

The panthers are "bad" on defense?
They had significant offseason losses. They have talent, but I think their weaknesses overwhelm their strengths.

Stephon Gimore, Hason Reddick, Morgan Fox, DaQuan Jones all left.

I thought the absolute key to that defense's success early on in the year was the way they lined up the 4i, which was Morgan Fox on a lot of plays. That was instrumental to them shutting down opposing run games early in the year. I like Matt Ioannidis, but I don't think he can do the same thing.

Their secondary has two guys I love in Horn and Chinn, but you need a fleet of corners to compete in the NFL and I don't think CJ Henderson and Donte Jackson are good enough.

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe they thrive. Maybe Matt Rhule continually bringing in guys from his Baylor days, like Ioannidis, pans out. I'm just not a believer. I thought this team was competing for the #1 pick before they brought in Baker.

I expect Rhule and the GM to be gone after this season, and the young pass rush of Burns and Yetur, along with Chinn and Horn on the back end to be very appealing for whoever takes over the job next.
