How do you guys think this is going to pan out? OSU has one conference loss to a team from the other division. We now own the tie-breaker to Wisconsin and that leaves Penn State who is 5-0 conference right now but still has to play Wisconsin, Nebraska and OSU which I highly doubt they come out of that anything better than 1-2. I'm thinking is the buckeyes can win out, we're looking at facing Nebraska or Mich. State in the title game.

We are 2-2 along with Wisconsin and Purdue and Penn State is 5-0 we'll have to win out, Wisconsin and Purdue loses one game and Penn State has to lose out for us to make the title game

In the end its mainly just us having to win out. Along the way that would create a loss for purdue and Penn State. At that point all we need is for Penn State to lose either vs wisconsin or nebraska which they likely will. Penn state does not have to lose out as long as they lose the game against us and one other.

It's possibly OSU could make the title game this year, but with the way this year has been going I could see a stupid loss to Michigan derailing are hopes for a title game rematch with Nebraska. I sure as hell hope that does not happen and will be cheering for the bucks no matter what, but it should be a real interesting finish down the stretch for the Buckeyes.

Penn State does not have to lose out.. We have two loses in conference play, they have none. We win out (includes beating Penn State), Penn State loses to either Nebraska or Wisconsin, and we win our division.

When will the NCAA ever tell us if we are bowl eligible? If we get a bowl ban then we are not allowed to play in the Big 10 Championship game; a Big 10 rule.

Predicting things can be a bit tricky but I'll give it my best shot

Leaders contenders
OSU vs.

Indiana W
@Purdue W
Penn State W
@Mich W

PSU vs.

Neb. L
@OSU L
@Wisc. L

Wisc vs.

Purdue W
@Minn W
@Ill. W
Penn State W

Legends Contenders

Nebraska vs

Northwestern W
@PSU W
@Mich W
Iowa W

MSU vs

Minnesota W
@Iowa W
Indiana W
@Northwestern W

So, I have OSU and Wiscy going 6-2 in the Leaders division with OSU winning the tiebreaker.

I have Nebraska and MSU going 7-1 in the Legends division with Nebraska winning the tiebreaker.

When will the NCAA ever tell us if we are bowl eligible? If we get a bowl ban then we are not allowed to play in the Big 10 Championship game; a Big 10 rule.

As for this, that is the million dollar question. No one knows how this will play out. Originally, after the August hearing, the decision was expected to be made sometime in November. But, with the extra issues that came up with more improper benefits, the NCAA will take more time. It is impossible to say if they will add to the sanctions.

We win out and fuck everyone else in the ass.

This is a solid plan.

Foregone conclusion Penn State loses all 3 games? Haha - love the doubters.

Yeah, I think they lose all three. They've squeaked by too many mediocre teams for me to give them the benefit of the doubt (Temple, Indiana, etc.). I like their D. But, I don't think that they have the firepower to beat Nebraska. Plus, I can't see them beating OSU or Wiscy on the road.

They beat Indiana 16-10. If you believe they'll win out, you're delusional.

Putting words in my mouth. Never said they'd win out. But why does it honestly matter if they beat Indiana 16-10? They're 8-1. That's all that matters. Ohio State fans should know best (02-03) that winning is all that matters, not how you do it.

I may be wrong on some scores, but my dad is a tOSU alum and I grew up a Buckeye before attending Penn State, so I know how these went.

23-19 over 1-2 @ Cincinnati
27-16 over 2-4 @ Northwestern
10-6 over 2-4 @ Purdue
23-16 OT over 4-7 @ Illinois

I am not saying this Penn State team is the same at 02-03 Ohio State, but let's be real people - don't write a team off cause they beat Indiana 16-10. They may very well lose all 3 games, but you sound foolish to make it seem like they may as well not even show up.

At least you recognize their defense. One of the best in the country. Alabama was (only loss) the only defensive blemish and they got worn down because the offense couldn't stay on the field. Still the toughest Their defense is one of the best in the country hands down, and will keep them in every game. The Nebraska offense is good, but in Happy Valley against this defense they will get one hell of a test. Silas Redd is also coming into his own, most yards by any back in the country for the month of October. Let's be real too - minus Michigan State game, their defense is not the Nebraska defense of old.

Ohio State is their toughest test - hands down. Don't get me wrong, their stretch is not easy. But don't play the card "oh, well, they've barely beat teams." That just makes you sound like an uneducated hack on ESPN. Wins are wins no matter how you get them. Ohio State JUST got its best win of the season, before that it was Illinois at home 17-7 by throwing four passes. Penn State beat them 10-7 in a fucking snow storm. I see no difference.

It is going to be a battle to the finish - but just because Ohio State beat an exposed Wisconsin team at home, doesn't make them this elite untouchable team. Take away Wisconsin, and their resume is worse than Penn State's. Their only loss is to the #2 team in the country, don't write them off.

Side note: if Jay Paterno (not Joe) continues to play two QBs, this is all a wash and they'll probably lose out.

Penn St Strength of schedule ranks #74 out of 120 teams. Ohio States is 21.
