Brandon Too GoodWIN Two Be True

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Because Rondo is a much better floor leader, defender and passer? Goodwin has done a good job of being a mini-Sexton but there is a reason he hasn't stuck. I love the value he brings as a 3rd PG but comeon this is a lazy take
Rondo used to be those things. Now he's pretty much done. It happens to everyone in the end.

He's done nothing on this team to justify an automatic 2nd string spot. Goodwin offers much better point of attack defense, speed, and can actually put pressure on the other team.

I bet JBB is trying to figure out a way not to play Rondo at all.

Rondo commits way too many turnovers. I'm going with Goodwin.

Last three games: 34 minutes, 16 points, 3-for-5 on 3's, 11 assists, 4 steals, and ONE turnover.

If Garland started a game and played 34 minutes with 16 pts, 11 assists, 4 steals and one turnover everybody would say he had a pretty good game.

In the 4 games we saw Rondo on the court, he showed the passing, defense, and leadership that we all know he has. I am not sure what basketball you are watching but Rondo has looked better. You just seem to have an irrational dislike of the guy

I wonder what's going through Rondo's and JBB's mind. JBB will have to choose. he can't have both and Rondo is going to be pissed if he chooses the other dog.

There’s no way he’s not going with Rondo unless Rondo just starts playing terribly.

My guess is that bringing in Rondo was 100% Koby's idea, while JBB loves Goodwin and doesn't want to play Rondo.

Play Goodwin all you want during the regular season. Play Rondo in high leverage games and playoffs. Can easily play both since they provide the team different abilities.

Some of you are overthinking things.

Let's not make problems out of blessings.

In light of Rubio's injury, we are lucky that Goodwin has provided some good minute and Rondo was available for a midseason pickup at almost no cost.

It's not a problem at all.

But yeah, once Rondo is healthy he will be option 1 off the bench and if he struggles or matchups dictate, Goodwin could get some run.

My guess is that even if anyone thought Goodwin would ball out the way he has, both JBB and Koby, along with anyone with a pair of functional eyes that has watched the Cavaliers play this season, would agree that Rondo is more of an asset to the organization than Valentine would have been.

What's ironic about all this is Goodwin seemingly outplayed Rondo in Atlanta as well..

If anything we've learned this year, through COVID and injuries, depth is a good problem to have.. And anything to avoid Pangos from playing is a bonus...

I view Goodwin-Rondo relationship similar to the Okoro-Stevens relationship: Goodwin/Stevens are good in spurts to provide change of pace and energy, and fill-in well when there's injuries... Otherwise, Rondo/Okoro are better overall players..

Definitely been intrigued to see Goodwin produce and hope he's able to stick after an unlucky last few years... If he can develop a shot, Cavs could have something as a 5th guard... Definitely has some good instincts at the point, is good off the bounce and is a pesky defender...
