In your minds, who is at the intersection of experienced and innovative?

A coach that was a HC once before, showed flashes of brilliance but not experienced enough at the time. A second go around would most likely be far better?

Whew, man, I'm not going to be well liked for this one, but I'm going with Jay Gruden.

Those teams in Washington weren't great, but he was also saddled with really poor QB play post Cousins. What he did do was make a team that wasn't that talented really good when he had Cousins and Alex Smith. Once he lost those two, he was a nightmare and the losses really got to everyone. Plus, Bruce Allen and Dan Snyder are really hard to work with.

What I saw from Gruden was getting a lot of something out of nothing. He does tend to not run enough but I do think he was a quality coach who got a really raw deal in Washington.

I'm not opposed to Ron Rivera, but he MUST come with good coordinators. I cannot think of anyone else that would really fit the bill. I like Caldwell but I don't want to go too old with the coaching staff. Mike McCarthy is the antithesis of what you posted. Most of the other coaches aren't good enough for the Browns, or at least a real, meaningful upgrade from Kitchens.

Freddie isn't going anywhere....unfortunately

Rivera HC, Steve Belicheck DC, Scott Turner OC... I want all the lineage.

id seriously give hoodie jr a hard look at HC. The man has grew up around the greatest football mind in history and has been coaching up one of the best secondaries in the game. There’s been a lot of talk about him calling some of the defensive plays this year. He’s young and inexperienced as a coach but I’d take a risk on belichick 2.0.
