Our next winning head coach needs to meet all of these requirements:

1. Young
2. At least 25 years of coaching experience
3. No NFL head coach retreads
4. Averaged 12 wins a season as an NFL head coach
5. Offensive minded
6. Historic defenses
7. Special Teams guru
8. Handsome/Fit
9. Known for creating a good culture
10. Player's coach
11. Knows/Gets us
Forgot that he has to pretend to find crew neck sweaters endearing.

The McCarthy piece has really shifted my opinion of him.

Its admirable that a man, when faced with losing his job, chose to go deep down the rabbit hole of solutions and improvements which would benefit his career for the better.

I'd be more inclined to hire him now, given his ties to Dorsey and this Front Office, I think it presents a nice opportunity for cohesion, regardless of whether or not I agree with some of their standard procedures with regards to situational stuff on the field (4th down attempts, clock management, etc.)

I wouldn't have posted it, but it really made me feel the same way. He put himself under a microscope and chose to take criticism, adapt, and try to perfect his craft. Not a lot of people, especially alpha-male NFL types, do that.

Do you guys actually think Dorsey is gonna fire Freddie? I honestly dont think he will (not that I'm opposed to it). I feel like they'll blame the poor season on the offensive line, obj's injury and monken not meshing with Freddie.

I think it's unavoidable at this point. The entire team has been a massive let down outside of the running backs, the culture seems putrid, and it's one of the most undisciplined teams in the league.

I'm sure there's a young offensive guru once in a generation type talent available again. Again.

If I had to guess right now, Freddie will be back.

However, lose 2 of the next 3 and finish below .500? And if McCarthy is in the bag? I could see it.

Sure would be easy to plug Mccarthy and his staff right in given his ties to JD. Also, he lives in Green Bay with his family so i'm assuming a move to C Town wouldn't be that big of a deal . . .

McCarthy better hire an OC. I don’t want that man calling plays. There aren’t enough puff pieces in the world to convince me he can call plays again.

Dorsey is going to partially blame the season on a unit he was responsible for solidifying?

Makes sense, just hate to see it.

Also it could be what you said in the opposite order. Like McCarthy is verbally committed, then we lose games, then we conduct our “coaching search” and it’s McCarthy.

This is all very tricky because Freddie has absolutely shown he isn't ready to be a head coach, but the mistakes he has made are completely predictable for a first time head coach. I see his job as a similar situation as Vic Fangio in Denver. When people were calling for Kitchens to be fired after the Niners game, it was a typical fan over-reaction. At this point, specifically with the offense in shambles, he is a candidate to be fired because that is supposedly his area of expertise. When Vic Fangio loses games with the questionable talent of the Broncos, it is a similar situation because the Broncos defense shouldn't be the reason why they are losing.

Keep in mind, the following teams are probably firing their coaches as well: Anthony Lynn in LA, Dan Quinn in ATL, Matt Patricia in Detroit, Doug Marrone in Jax, Pat Shurmur in NYC. Of course, the job in Washington is already available.

A few are maybes: Kitchens, Zac Taylor of Cincy, Garrett of the Cowboys, and Fangio. Let's see how everything plays out for that group.

We’re talking a potential of 10 HC openings.
Can anyone list 10 candidates that are worthy of being our HC??
availability of qualified coaches will play a major role in Kitchens being fired or not.
