Browns hire Andrew Berry

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
That's bullcrap. Teams hit on picks 3-7 all the time. Berry didn't even come close with any of those picks. Newsome is a stud, the jury remains out on how good JOK will be. He wasn't as good as you all madde him out to be.

He didn't come close to any of those picks? Tell me which 3-7 round picks did anything in the NFL last season?... plus the Browns still have all of them as well, which in itself is rare. Most late rounds pick end up on practice squads and not even on rosters.

Honestly if you want anyone to respect anything you have been saying, put down the 3-7 round picks that had more snaps than Hudson, Felton or Schwartz. Not to be mean, but if you cannot then your opinion is null and void as a legit opinion. Do us some homework to back up your statement...

Look, if you're calling a draft in which you netted two defensive starters that played at an elite level "a disgrace" after the first season, you're not a serious person.

You're a troll.

Even if "rounds 3-7" never work out, you've still acquired two of the best young defensive players in the entire NFL.

Passing judgement on later round picks after their rookie season is stupidity all by itself.

I agree completely with what you are saying, however the margin of error of success is a lot smaller if you dont get anything out of rounds 3-7.

That said if Newsome and JOK are as good as we all hope rounds 3-7 dont matter

We also got some good snaps from Felton, Hudson etc... it's not like it was a total waste of a draft back there either. Schwartz is the fastest guy on the team and we all knew drafting him he needed some NFL growing to do, but could be a legit weapon once he figures it out.

Hit rates of rounds 4-7 pick are like 10-15% league wide

It would be more shocking if Berry drafted viable league average starters than it would he missed on them. DPJ looks to be a solid hit for a 6th round pick. He’s a WR3 that may be a spot starter. If he progresses more than that, it would be an absolute home run pick.

Except for all his good picks, his picks have all been not good.........

People will see whatever the hell they wanna see.

Terrible, and you don’t know shit about what “most browns fans” think, nor are you entitled to speak for them to validate your poorly thought out point.
You want to review the shit stats put up by Togia? Schartz? Felton? LeCount? and more? Your opinion is wrong on all counts. Berry's draft in 2021 was pure crap. And yes most Browns fans would agree with me
.

You made my point. Berry hit on DPJ. Last year's 3-7 were absolute garbage picks. Can someone explain to me the logic is picking Tommy Togiai? A guy who was lousy on a horrible defense? Or Demetrius Felton when you are sitting there with Johnson, Hunt and Chubb? Just plain stupid. to say the least. And how many years has this team fielded a bottom 5 place kicker?

Newsome was an excellent pick and JOK has a lot to prove before he's annointed. He had very few, if any true impact plays last year To say he's "a true impact player" like the above poster said is just wrong.

Most NFL fans in general are morons, but we haven't had any success, which makes our fans even dumber since they don't know what to look for. It's pathetic how quickly some of you turn on players, coaches, and the FO. You have zero critical thinking and reasoning skills. The toxic fanbase does not help make this franchise successful. If you're already trying to convince yourself that Berry is a failure, you're part of the problem.

Good decisions can sometimes turn out poorly. Life isn't black and white. "Man smart or Man dumb", that's legit as deeply as some of you are able to think and once you've made your knee-jerk decision on which they are, you begin to search for all the things you can say to back up that opinion. But the reality is, YOU are "Man dumb" and you have no grasp of what you're talking about or the complexity of the situation.

I’ve wrote in the past here about how you can tell that being a Cleveland fan for so long has just clearly broken some people, and the second anything looks to be going wrong the sky is falling and everything is terrible.

One of the great things about no longer living in Ohio is that it’s a lot easier to separate myself from my sports fandom. When the team sucks, I can shift my attentions elsewhere without constantly being reminded about it like I would be if I lived in an area that was entirely Browns fans.

Loving in North Carolina has made it very easy to tune out sports. My fandom has decreased about 80% between the Cavs, Indians and Browns. Basically don’t care about basketball or baseball but still like the Browns.

Having the healthy arms length away approach has been the best thing that could’ve happened to me.

Same! I don't live in Ohio anymore as of six years ago. It's refreshing to not have to talk in person to people who are also fans of my team. It actually used to stress me out knowing anytime something went poorly, I'd have to go into work the next day and hear everyone whining and feeling sorry for themselves about it. It's not a good thing when your self worth is too closely tied to how your sports team does.
