BROWNS OFF-SEASON 2020

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Worth paying attention to as the RB market continues to evolve ahead of the timeframe for a possible Chubb extension in the next 12-24 months
Not a bad deal. I think 4 is the absolute max for a RB I’d go. I’d consider taking to Chubb about a 3yr extension next year.

I think OL and QB are both more important than the skill positions on offense, but just for fun, here are I think the top four off the top of my head... and you can argue the Browns have the best of that bunch:

WR1, WR2, RB, TE

Chiefs: Hill, Watkins, CEH, Kelce
Browns: OBJ, Landry, Chubb, Hooper
Falcons: Julio, Ridley, Gurley, Hurst
Saints: Thomas, Sanders, Kamara, Cook

Is there a team I'm forgetting?

I actually just saw a tweet yesterday rankings all NFL teams to this. And yes, Chiefs were #1 and Browns were #2.

I forget after that and I tried searching for the tweet but can't seem to find it.

Vikings maybe?

Thielen, Justin Jefferson, Cook, anybody in their TE room.

I don't think that touches the other four here. I'm just not ready to anoint Jefferson yet, and the lack of a TE hurts them.

Dark horse... Denver? Sutton and Jeudy, Fant, Melvin Gordon... with KJ Hamler as the next WR up and Philip Lindsay as the next RB up.

Profootballtalk's Mike Florio reports it's "very likely" the preseason is only one game.
The league has been lobbying for two games, with the NFLPA requesting zero. It appears they are ready to meet in the middle. Of course, the decision might still ultimately not be up to them. With the coronavirus pandemic currently out of control in large swaths of the country, predicting what things might look like a month from now is tough.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports the league could allow unlimited players to return from Injured Reserve this season.
It's an attempt to help teams cope with inevitable positive COVID-19 tests in 2020. Normally only a finite number of players are allowed to return after eight games, but this new proposal would allow all to return after three. Players would still have to be on the active roster through final cuts to be eligible for return. It’s just one idea that's been discussed as NFL and NFLPA talks continue.
