The Cleveland Browns signed second-round draft choice LB D’Qwell Jackson, fourth-round selections LB Leon Williams and OL Isaac Sowells, and fifth-round selection RB Jerome Harrison each to a four-year contract through the 2009 season, the team announced today. Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Fox 8 News Cleveland is also reporting this and OBR.com has confirmed. Leaving only Travis Wilson unsigned

The Browns easily have the most picks signed, which only benefits us as we integrate them into the team.

Our two projected rookie starts Wimbley and Jackson will be in camp on time  I bet Travis Wilson becomes the 4th WR until Bray gets back.

Good sign for the future... It looks like we can get our rookies signed quickly and ready for training camp..

Let's hope Wilson signs as well.. His presence is needed in a WR corps that is going to miss Edwards' athletic ability and big play ability... 2 things that Wilson can cover for the time that BE is out.

Wilson better not hold out...the Braylon situation probably is giving he and his agent additional leverage..that and Rideau was not impressive.

Lets hope now that they signed they prove to be better picks than last years crop.

Would be nice if the BRowns could turn the corner and have a chance to win at least half their games.

But it looks like at least 2 more years of rebuilding and only then we know if we are becoming a contender or if we need yet another GM and HC. I dont see any super bowls in our future with Romeo as HC, hope I am wrong.

I didn't know he said that but that woulda been my excact reaction to it. That sounds bad but we'll see. These signings are huge, espicailly DQ, who gives us depth and who knows what else. Leon too. Big day.

About Wilson (the only draft pick we haven't signed) I heard on draft day he said he's the best WR in the draft. I hope he doesn't really think that.

I see romeo being the guy who gets us a ring if we even get that far. romeo has 5 rings, of corse he was not head coach, but he won all those with banged up defence's and crap.

If we all want the browns to do good, how bout we try something different??? ITS CALLED SUPPORT YOUR TEAM AND STOP HATING ON THEM, u dont need all the best players to win superbowls...........

Clevelanders support our teams...we just dont trust them.

No one is hating on anyone.

Yea he did say he was the best WR in the draft. Not going to prove it if he holds out.

Dont understand the holdouts anyway. Not like they are going to gain much.

Be great if Romeo got the job done, I am in no mood for yet another rebuild because the head coach wants his type of players, ones that fit yet another different system.

HE better say he is the best WR, its good to think that way.

We have been burned a few too many times by new guys with a better way of doing things to believe them until we see results.

Everyone hoped and wanted to believe Butch based on his past success was going to be the answer. He clearly wasn't. Now its antother guys shot, another guy with some past results in a different capacity like Butch. Butch too was DC and "vital" to super bowl wins. Butch also had HC exp, in college, but a big time program and big time success and he flopped miserably here. So excuse me if I dont feel any security that we will become a great team because our HC was on a team that won some super bowls. Been there failed before.

Good to think your the best, You better only open your mouth to say it if you can back it up.

MixedBag we implemented an entire new defense. It was a trial basis with the whole roster to see what we had there. Our past two first round rookies were unavailable to Romeo for a good portion. We did improve and yet you don't think he's it?

You are quite possibly the biggest pessimist I've ever seen. :thumbdown

2 more years of rebuilding?

We went 6-10 in the first year with Romeo as head coach... We weren't even supposed to win 4 games...

And on top of that, we had Trent Dilfer as our QB, Kellen Winslow out an injury, BE out with an injury, Gary Baxter out with an injury and a brand new defense.. Not to mention, not the best personnal..

And you say we are in rebulinding mode? What do you call the signings of McGinest and Washington?

I just don't see where you are coming from...
