Browns Training Camp 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I do think the Panthers can win the game and probably should be favored, but I'm hard pressed to see this Browns defense giving up 30 to that Panthers offense unless the Browns offense turns the ball over several times.
I think they’re going to give them short fields and big plays. I think it’ll turn out to be an aberration compared to the rest of the season, but I think Baker is going to sling it.

Baker isn’t the big bad wolf. He also isn’t the bad person or bad QB he was made out to be either. That narrative was necessary to get him out of town once things went south during that injury-plagued season where he should have been pulled sooner.

This isn’t the same Browns team as the first 20 years, but it is the same one as the last 2. The last two teams under Stef have been completely unprepared and/or unmotivated for the first game of the season. They’ve been absolutely crushed by playoff teams.

Maybe the Panthers aren’t as good as the Ravens or Titans, but the Browns have a more limited QB, a questionable OL and poor receivers. Defenses will load up against an elite run game. This offense is going to struggle big time for the first 11 games.

I think they give a highly motivated Baker short fields, big plays and this one gets ugly. I’m picturing what Baker has done to Cincy starting with the Hue game.

Everyone outside of Cleveland wants it and the Browns always come through with that disappointment. I don’t see an exception here.

30-17 Panthers.

Browns will play teams closer for the next ten games, but still won’t be very good. You flat out need a good QB in this league and they have a mediocre one with a really weak receiving corps.
I don't wish injury on anyone, but I can't control the savageness in which Myles Garrett plays the game. Garrett is going to break Baker's shoulder while planting him in the ground on a sack. He'll get flagged for it, unfortunately, but it's what's going to happen.

Baker is a bum and you guys are falling for his unwarranted hype yet again.

Also that CAR team as a whole is not better than ours. Too much of their success will depend on their QB and his ability to........you get the picture.

Who’s our third TE going to be? Stanton? I don’t see the downside in adding a third receiving TE given how our WR room looks at the moment. Howard should be pretty cheap, and we’re going to be running a ton of 2 TE sets with Brisset. We could use another pass catching TE as Bryant and Njoku are going to get a ton of work.

Just because we might pick a 3rd tightend off of the cut pile, doesnt mean its OJ Howard. At this point he has a better name than production.

Probably just points to Stefanski being a smart OC and a slight change in philosophy. You’re not going to run all the same personnel packages with Watson as you are with Baker and Cousins. Watson excels out of empty backfields and we’re already RB heavy. Maybe it winds up with you taking a bit of an L in packages with Brisset short term, but we’re looking at the long haul. Wouldn’t be surprised if FB is basically eliminated from the offense moving forward.

I also think we should run more with Hunt or Ford lined up at FB, not as much a lead blocker, but another option for the defense to worry about. Misdirection, receiver out of the back field, some running the ball inside from them. It is a wrinkle I have thought our offense could use 10 or so plays a game.

C'mon Los. Are you new here?

No one is falling for his hype.

It's just such a predictable situation.

It's Browns Week 1...always an L
AND
It's an opportunity for a mind-numbing embarrassment for the Browns...always an L

They'll absolutely lose this game, and Baker will absolutely still be mediocre the rest of the year.

They counted players at Cardinals practice- 43.

10 under. Absolutely bonkers that Keim got an extension.
