Caris LeVert: Two More Years!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Is LeVert back in 2023-24?

  • Cavs can't afford the $$$ to keep him and nothing is going to change that

  • After bricking shot after shot in the playoffs, Koby washes his hand and lets LeVert walk

  • Only if he signs for something close to the MLE

  • If Caris plays well in the playoffs, the Cavs will offer big $$$ to keep him

  • KobyAltman! No one else on the team fills his role, so stop sitting on your hands!

Typically, you could count on him to give you 12-15 points, 5-6 assists, but this bench role is going to neuter him now. Not only that, but JBB chose to play both Stevens and Okoro over him in critical possessions that required ball-handling and switching defense. If it was his hand in Rozier's face, that 3 likely clanks and the game ends in regulation.
The bench role is the only role for him.

I wish Koby could have put Levert in to the Mitchell trade instead of Markkanen. I'm not sure what trade value Levert now has, all we can hope is just another team has a poor fit they want to get rid of and we can hopefully just have a better fit kind of trade.

What is "My eyes hurt." What is "I cringe." What is ""Give it up" plays on repeat in my head."

All appropriate Jeopardy responses to a Video Daily Double of this man.

Well Phillip Seymour Hoffman is dead so if they ever make "Along Comes Polly 2"
this guy could be the new "Make it Rain" guy.

He started off the year so well, including in preseason and prior to the Boston game. What happened?

I think maybe he’s just not a fit with Garland.

It's funny, because it's true.

I'm sure in a week or two he'll have a good game and we'll hear all about that he's settling in and turned the corner.

You better hope he does. The wing rotation right now is LeVert, Cedi, Stevens, and Okoro. And until Wade can stay healthy and show he can fill the 3 and D role full time, it's going to stay like that.

Who is better you think? Cavs LeVert or Cavs Hughes?
I'd say LeVert, but it's close. Probably the only reason I say LeVert is because he is like our 4th or 5th option. Hughes was brought in to be the #2 guy and just actively killed us most nights (similar to how Okoro just kills us now, but just in different ways).

LeVert’s been out the last two games, and to be completely honest I haven’t really missed him on the court or felt like we were lacking his presence.

I’m not saying LeVert isn’t or can’t be a good player, but I think he’s the definition of a luxury on this team (especially once Rubio comes back), and we should move him for a better fitting piece.
