Caris LeVert: Two More Years!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Is LeVert back in 2023-24?

  • Cavs can't afford the $$$ to keep him and nothing is going to change that

  • After bricking shot after shot in the playoffs, Koby washes his hand and lets LeVert walk

  • Only if he signs for something close to the MLE

  • If Caris plays well in the playoffs, the Cavs will offer big $$$ to keep him

  • KobyAltman! No one else on the team fills his role, so stop sitting on your hands!

I'm going to give him a few more games to answer these questions:

What is his role? Is he supposed to be a 3 and D? He was doing that before the ankle injury. Is he supposed to be a facilitator off the bench?

If Lamar can step into the starting lineup and give you a consistent 12-15 points per game and decent defense, I expect LeVert to do that too. We needed his offense in games like tonight where DG and Mitchell are bottled up.
his role is a guy who can come off the bench for 20 min/game and give you solid defense...play the 2 and the 3...and hopefully revert back to his career averages of 43/34 over six seasons and who also played nine playoff games with excellent averages.

you wait this fukr out because you have no choice and the choices that you do have dont make sense(fourniers contract and haywards health are awful and desperate options and a world-class organization doesnt do stupid-ass shit like minnesota).

and the cavs can still get lucky in the buyout market...a contender blows up and a veteran 3/4 decides to come to cleveland as they are very, very close(cavs can offer an above-market contract in win-now mode)...but they are at where they are at and it is what it is... i still say health will be the most important factor going into the playoffs(lmfao if people think that small-ball horford, brogdon, white and williams are going to continue to post inexplicable career numbers from the three in april if timelord does not come back 80 percent from his miniscus).

so what if okoro did not pan out....neither did wiseman....and going 2/3 on top five picks...any other organization and their fans would be happy and not bitching and crying...complete loser mentality.

never been on a forum with so many negative people...disturbing....fire jbb?....

for fuk fukn sake

Wow, even worse than I thought. What a mess. I don't get these players sometimes.

I hope he and everyone else on the team was sick. Because they looked slow and sick

I look at the coach when young players regress, when players who are supposed to be In Their primes are posting career lows. Almost like not running an offensive system and relying on hero ball makes role players play …. Worse

This is definitely where I’m at. There’s only two explanations I can come up with for what we’re seeing at this point in time with LeVert: 1) He’s still injured/sick and shouldn’t be playing or 2) The coaches aren’t doing their job to help him see when/where he should be picking his spots or putting him in lineups (at SG with Neto or Mitchell) where he can be more of a scorer.

I’m not living in some fantasy world where I think LeVert’s an All-Star waiting to be unlocked, but he doesn’t even look like an NBA player at times this year when he’s clearly shown he belongs in the league on other teams. I don’t think the answer is fire JBB mid-season, but if things continue this way with Caris we’re either going to be stuck with him, have to take back a shitty contract, or give up picks in order to get a rotation piece back,

While I think a lot could be on the coaches, as a professional basketball player, I just feel like you got to adjust and get yourself together.

I try to be positive about all our players. But I'm about done with this guy. His dribbling the ball off his leg at the end of the 1Q Monday, as we had an opportunity to tie the game, or take the lead, kind of summed up his season in one baffling fuck up.

He's got about 10-15 games to get his shit together. If not, Rubio gets his minutes and he can ride the pine until we unload his ass at the deadline for a bag of chips.

Guy has probably cost himself $30-40 million in his next contract with his play this year. He's on track for a league minimum salary.
