Caris LeVert: Two More Years!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Is LeVert back in 2023-24?

  • Cavs can't afford the $$$ to keep him and nothing is going to change that

  • After bricking shot after shot in the playoffs, Koby washes his hand and lets LeVert walk

  • Only if he signs for something close to the MLE

  • If Caris plays well in the playoffs, the Cavs will offer big $$$ to keep him

  • KobyAltman! No one else on the team fills his role, so stop sitting on your hands!

There's a reason Pacer fans were ecstatic when he was traded and couldn't believe their luck that there was a franchise out there stupid enough to give them a first round pick for him.

Basically two first round picks as the 2nd was at the top of the round at 31st. Koby can't negotiate trades for sh*t :shakehead:

I really swear I watch different games than a lot of you guys most nights.

I want LeVert traded too, but 15 points, shooting 5-16, with 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals is really not the type of game to complain about.

There just simply aren’t any guys putting up
12.4 points
37.6% 3PT
4.0 Rebounds
3.8 Assists
that the Cavs can easily get in a trade. Especially one as well liked and as hard of a worker as LeVert is. I’ve come to accept that not only is Caris not being traded, but he’s going to be extended in the off-season, and if he keeps playing within his role like he has? We can do a lot worse.

He scored 10 points between the 6:50 and 4:43 marks of the 4th quarter when the Cavs were up by 30 points. He was quite terrible during the parts of the game that mattered.

I baby sat for a friend and had to record the game and didnt get to start watching till over, I cuaght a LeVert comment by accident in this thread complaining how bad LeVert was playing. Diding know our back court was out at that point.

Got home, watched the game. Shocked that Levert really didnt have a bad game. Shooting was off, but played good defense, rebounded, set up others with his passing, ect.

I think his best attirbutes are not needed here, but he isnt a bad player, just not what we need as a backup sg/sf.

He had some sweet assists that set up uncontested dunks. As long as he's doing that or getting layups or fouls, he's good. And his 3-point shot has been fine. It's the mid-range pull-up shots that he has been clanking, but he's almost completely stopped taking them lately. His stop/start move is hard to stop even when they know it's coming.

With Mitchell dealing with a pulled groin that could linger the rest of the season and easily be aggravated, with Garland constantly getting hit in the face or having his shooting thumb whacked, and with Rubio coming off an ACL, LeVert is a great asset to have.

And he looked dominant while slashing to the basket on those shots. I don't understand why he was doing that suddenly, but not the rest of the game.. can someone give me an explanation? Is it really because there wasn't any pressure? Did Detroit change something on defense? Did the Cavs change something on offense? It seems whatever happened during that stretch is the key to unlocking his consistency.

you cant ignore leverts nine playoff games....20/5/5 ...43/45...2/1 t/o and only 1.7 fouls in 30 minutes

a-level bench player...arguably elite bench player

with the injury to portis....jaylens broken jaw along wiht williams suspect knee....embiid and harden health injuries and usage....its not bordelrine negligent if gilbert sits this out its straight negligent if he doesnt even try here when looking at loves back injury

It was garbage time and the other team wasn't really trying.

Trading for this guy was like raw dogging the chick you knew had an STD, but just couldn't help yourself.

He's an awkward fit here and we're unable to get rid of him. I hope a S&T manifests itself, because being stuck with him sounds painful.
Unable to get rid of him and unwilling to move him for a lesser player and/or worse contract are two different things..

Awful shot selection and FG% aside, he has turned it up a notch defensively and has been creating great looks inside. Am I disappointed we didn’t get a shooter? Pretty bummed out. But Caris can bring other stuff to the table that will be necessary to win in the playoffs. Let’s see what we have in the playoffs with a healthy squad and reassess in the off-season.

Versus Pelicans, that is optimal LeVert. One of the guards in foul trouble (or otherwise absent -- in that game, Ricky was out altogether, refs jobbed Darius out of the game). Come in, move the ball, score within the offense. Make sure the bigs get going. Play some defense.

Maybe, like Okoro, his thing was not knowing what was "allowed" and also the anxiety of possibly being traded once again.
