Caris LeVert: Two More Years!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Is LeVert back in 2023-24?

  • Cavs can't afford the $$$ to keep him and nothing is going to change that

  • After bricking shot after shot in the playoffs, Koby washes his hand and lets LeVert walk

  • Only if he signs for something close to the MLE

  • If Caris plays well in the playoffs, the Cavs will offer big $$$ to keep him

  • KobyAltman! No one else on the team fills his role, so stop sitting on your hands!

Koby going for it.

Levert has another year on his deal at 18 mill. How is this not the end for Sexton here?
Levert can be flexed to forward or Sexton can play point while on the court together. They have the cap space to retain him and he vocally committed to playing off-ball more. Would imagine Levert would be open to playing off-ball at times too. Defensively not a great fit, but our bigs really help as a safety net for awkward lineups on defense.

Worth seeing which second rounders -- if it is Houstons + SA's, I will be annoyed.. those are both really good 2nd rounders. If it is SA's and ours, then I guess it is better.
Would rather it be the shittier second round picks. Houstons is basically another late first and one less valuable asset if it was moved in this deal.

Upset with this. Just not a good fit. Better than nothing this year, but a terrible fit once Collin is healthy again next year. Not gonna help Okoro’s development either. No, Okoro doesn’t need 35 min a night but LaVert is a ball-stopper that doesn’t give us the spacing we were hoping to gain at the deadline. Was hoping for Eric Gordon as to provide better spacing and team-first play; to not disrupt the order of things.

Did the Cavs make this trade now just so LaVert wouldn’t play against us tonight? J/k

Fuck it was moved. That Miami pick really isn't shit either. Oh well, cost of doing business

Levert and Sexton are redundant talents. No way Cavs keep Sexton after this deal
Agreed. I’d argue the Cavs overpaid slightly for LeVert. He should be instant offense off the bench. I expect a trade involving Sexton next.
