Cavaliers supposedly monitoring Zach Randolph

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Give up on Knicks giving away an unprotected first to get rid of Randolph's terrible contract. Walsh said he's not going to do it... and he has already turned down trades that included NY throwing in a first rounder.

So, with that in mind... Randolph is not worth the risk without a first rounder being thown in. Therefor, this is a terrible trade, a franchise crippling idea, and flat out blasphemy to say that he would bring championships to Cleveland.

Thats a big if though isn't it? I remember a lot of people on CMB were saying lets go for
Artest he'd be amazing here blah blah blah blah......... Well I was totally against it, he is better than any 2 we have, but he might start to rub off on Bron and that ain't what we need.

yea i was against artest b/c i thought he wasn't a good fit for this team....he fits with the rockets b/c he brings toughness & more of a slasher since t-mac like to shoot.....we need more of a shooter who can shoot off the dribble from the 2 spot(redd)....i don't think he would have rubbed off of lebron b/c lebron is too mature for that none sense

Maybe you are right i've never met LBJ but it seems to me that one bad apple can ruin the whole team. Which if that were to happen we would have heard things like KB24 for president and LBJ sucks CP3 is god that sort of stuff lol and that might be worse than the LeBron 2010 stuff.

You are right. The Knicks are not stupid enough to give us a 1st because that would derail their LBJ 2010 plans even further. LBJ may very well choose to play there, but it won't be because of the endorsements, it won't be because of the NY wants LBJ stuff it will be because NY has put a nice team together through the draft.

i have no problem taking zach+lee w/out a 1st b/c all we give up is either wally or ben

our front-court problem is solved & we would be the favorites of the east like the rockets (behind the lakers) & artest is for the west

ACCORDING to a report in Newsday, the Cavaliers are supposedly "monitoring" Knicks power forward Zach Randolph, who has been solid in the preseason.

Rumors cropped up over the summer between the two teams. One of the reasons the Knicks would like to move Randolph's contract is so they can clear cap space for the summer of 2010. That's when Cavs forward LeBron James becomes a free agent (assuming he opts out).

But it's also the same reason the Cavs want to keep financial flexibility for that summer. They want to be able to re-sign James and possibly add another big-time talent. That's why the rumors don't add up.

By taking on the $48 million remaining on Randolph's contract in the next three years, it would handcuff the Cavs. Would sending Wally Szczerbiak to the Knicks for the 6-foot-9, 260-pound Randolph guarantee the Cavs an NBA title? That would be the only reason to make such a deal.
