-- // -- NOTES -- // --

* The story of the series so far has been the Cavaliers huge rebounding edge. It continued in Game 2 with Cleveland's 49-32 advantage in total rebounds, including 19-3 on the offensive glass. In their six playoff games, the Cavs have outrebounded their opponents by 13.5 per game

* New Jersey has never overcome an 0-2 deficit and now has to win four of five.

* LeBron James looks to extend his streak of consecutive 20 point performances in the playoffs to an even 20 games. He is currently only behind Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (27) for the all-time record to start a career.

* The Cavs look to extend their overall winning streak to 11 games for the first time since the 1994-95 season.

* New Jersey won the only meeting between these two teams at the Meadowlands this season on December 20, a 113-111 victory. Vince Carter outscored LeBron James 38-37 in that matchup.

I'd like to strangle the playoff schedule maker. Does this make any sense? - GS and Utah played Game 2 last night in Utah, and will play Game 3 tomorrow night in GS. So they get just one day of rest between games 2 and 3... and we get three full days off? Annoying.

The whole utah/gs series is only one night off in between.

At least we can get healthy - I'll take it.

I don't like the human triple double's knee's getting that kind of rest..

We're a younger team that had a long layoff already..we can handle it..they can't..which is what sucks about the whole thing..

I'm hating the huge layoff between games as well. It's making benches a non-factor. I mean, look at what Detroit can afford to do, go with a 6-man rotation and completely bulldoze the Bulls:

What the heck did they go to 15-man rosters for, if you only end up using 1 guy off the bench?? :banghead: This must be Stern's answer for having "no superstars" left in the playoffs except Lebron (Wade, Carmelo, Kobe eliminated). Giving us "trench warfare" series- which is contrary to all the rule changes he's made over the last 3 years, which are in favor of offensive flow. I'm just getting sick of the mixed messages.

Its all about TV matchups. The East isn't going to get any of the prime spots, They want to ensure that the Game 7's happen on weekends for good ratings. Also, the GS/Utah series gets 2 weekend spots, Friday and Sunday this weekend. Whats with out 5:00 start time? Its so that the other series can start around 7:45-8:00 and the whole nation can watch bloody Nose Steve Nash and his all-NBA 1st team teammate Amare Staudamire.

My buddy just sent this to me and I thought I'd share it:

^^:chuckles:

The playoffs are finally getting interesting. Im not sure if we can sweep the Nets yet. NJ played much better at home in round one. But I still think Sasha does well on Carter, and LBJ may explode tonite.

its being reported that the Nets will go small today . . . maybe replacing the offensively inept Collins with the Nachbar and then sliding Moore to play center.

the key is what wil the Cavs do to counter . . . .if anything

there will be the tendecy for Brown to panic and insert AV at the earliest occasion and wonder why the offense sputters

I am hoping we establish Z and Drew early while containing Carter and Jefferson

if we do this I like the results

It annoys me to no end when Brown tries to counter and matchup against other teams...if he does that today we'll lose. We are the better team. Exploit our strengths. Abuse the Net's weaknesses. That's what good coaches do.
Z has had maybe 5-7 post plays run his way in the first 2 games. He and Drew are abusing them on the boards and missed shots, why not abuse them with post plays on offense? Our best offense in the first two games - missed shots.
Pound it inside to Z and Drew and send cutters to the hole.
If it gets kicked back out to the Lebron, Larry, Sasha then attack the hole and dish if you get cutoff.
Get to the line and put these clowns away.
Attack the basket.
Attack!
Attack!
Attack!

not sure where everyone is, but lebron gets hit in the head driving at the end of the first (head shot=intentional foul) of course nothing called at all.

end of the first 17-22

IT DIDNT COUNT?!

oh good lord, thats disgusting so the ****ed up 2 things on the same play... wow

Biggest part of the quarter war horrible, good thing Cavs recovered at the end..
