I think that in this year, regardless to which team from the Western conference is going to qualify to the finals, the Cavs will be the ones leaving with the coveted title, I think that the Cavaliers are more of a complete team this year, more experienced as a group, their two stars who were injured in the previous post-season are now back and their shape is remarkable, I like the group of our veterans more, because unlike last year where our veterans contributed mostly in the mental aspect of the game now they also contribute in the game itself, putting up points when needed, Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye to me can make the difference.

I am not underestimating the Warriors nor the Thunder, and I am sure they will put up a great fight and that we will have a terrific finals series to witness, but when it's all said and done I just can't the Cavaliers going home disappointed again, LeBron will achieve his 3rd nba championship and the city of Cleveland will restore its pride after a drought of 52 years of wandering in the desert.

So the way I see it, the Warriors will be tougher to fair with then the Thunder but will also be more interesting to watch as well.

Too bad I am in the army now and I don't get to watch the Cavaliers playing as much as did before, but I am trying to catch up as much as I can.

Last year me and my friends went to a local pub and watched the entire finals series at 3:00 am in the morning, unfortunately, these days are gone....

I want home court advantage, and I feel no shame in writing that....
Having to make three west coast trips in two weeks could be brutal. Versus just going to OkC twice or dare I say once :chuckle::chuckle:

Do you really @KilgoreTrout ?

If so, my apologies.

Obviously, Dude.

Different people deal - or not - in different ways. I still function fine in most aspects of life, but I can't watch Cleveland sports teams play in game that "matter".

And it should be obvious that one can know, at one level, that "sports don't matter, in the grand scheme of things", but still get incredibly worked up about them, and get happier or sadder, because of them. The brain works in mysterious ways.

I've been dreaming of a Cleveland sports championship, since I've been sentient. The fact that we might be on the verge, right now, is both incredibly exhilarating and incredibly nerve-wracking.

I think this week off just like all of the postseason the Cavs will make another mini leap. Playing in Toronto prepared them for Chesapeake Arena. I think it's going 5 for some crazy reason. Dunno why.

I know it sounds funny, but I think Toronto gave us the best preparation. lol.

Hey, playing in their building was not easy. Even though we won by 26 or whatever the final score was. Man, they make you earn. They cut the lead multiple times. Lowry and DeRozan would get red hot again, and that crowd was insane.

That was a nice test for the Cavs. They made use re-focus and face a little adversity.

You do you, Kilgore. I hear and completely understand the angst associated with Cleveland pro sports fandom. I've been emotionally invested since before Red Right 88 and I can just taste the drought possibly ending... Exciting/stressful times indeed.

Honestly it dawned on me last night that the Raptors series didn't even feel like a conference finals series but more like a first or second round series. Yeah there was some adversity but it was nothing compared to the Bulls series from last year and we knew the Cavs would win no matter what.

Also what is up with people bitching because the players doused each other in water? Half of the season the media was coming up with stories about how much the team hated each other and now they're mad because they're celebrating making it to the Finals?

How would the Warriors be tougher?
Warrioirs have shown that strong point guard play with upper tier small forward who can match small ball and go big against the warrioirs are their Achilles heel. The Cavs fall into that make up to the T. The game plan against Golden state is already in place and noting with the team has changed from last season. What has changed is that with Lvoe and Irving in the series The Warriots cant rely on 15-2 runs while LeBron is out to seal the win.

If anything OKC looms a bigger threat because not only have they shown they can play on the road but they can also go big or small and play at a high level.

OKC is also playing better defense as a squad as defenses have adapted to seeing a player like Green at the 5.

I have far more questions about OKC than Golden State

Guys, the post game presser was absolutely hilarious...:chuckle:

The mic volume @07:31...:chuckle::chuckle::chuckle: Just watch the hole thing, please.

Gotta love the many jabs bron throws at golden state.

Gotta love how he comes off.

I think he's sincere in everything he says here and I think he really, really knows what he's doing.

He spoke as calculated as a politician, but also as one that everyone's gonna vote for.

I am honestly despondent. Someone cheer me up.

It's gonna take another level to beat this warriors team

Im happy they traded away David Lee.

I hope it aint Varejao fucking Cavs up tho.

Klay Thompson will make 3s

Stephen Curry will make 3s

They all will make 3s

Battle of 3 pointers

I'd think about starting Love/Frye together to eliminate Bogut's effectiveness. Then I'd think about bringing TT in with the 2nd unit to guard Livingston believe it or not.

There's no way we're stopping GS so we're gonna have to (try to) out score them.
