We play them 8 or so games a year and had they lost like 2 or 3 more games we would have been in the post season...

That'd be like saying the Nets didn't effect our playoff push last year..

They still took a wildcard spot, a wildcard has no bearings on division, and with the Sox and Yanks being big time teams we are always battling one of those teams for the wildcard if we can't win the division...

They have the market that allows them to handle it, Shapiro/Dolan are doing a fine job of balancing talent and the payroll. No way do you pay Millwood 5 years, 60 million with a 15 million signing bonus. How far did Thome go?
