Cedi seems to be more aggressive in driving the lane in the half-court offense. In the past he tended to spot up at the 3-point line for a catch-and-shoot. He's still not exactly a great finisher at the rim but he's developing a floater and he's at least able to use his left hand to some degree. In previous years he was totally dependent on the right hand.
Since last year his percentage of shots taken at the rim is up 6% while his percentage of 3's is down 6%.
His percentage of shots made at the rim is 71% this year compared to 62% last year and 55% the year before that. He's getting better at finishing but some of those are uncontested leak-out buckets.
He's making 43% of his corner 3's, which is pretty good, and I think that is helping spread the defense which allows Mitchell, Garland, and LeVert to get into the paint and make things happen. Cedi's points per shot attempt number is just average for forwards, so the reason the team is so much better offensively with him on the court must be for another reason than his own shooting. The court is more open and balanced with Cedi than with Stevens or Okoro.
Cedi has also been making some nice passes. He ranks in the 64th percentile in assists per usage rate.
