Tampa Bay had the worst defense in total yards and pass yards last season. This season they are bottom five in all categories to start the year. Nassib playing a high snap count on a bad defense has no bearing on what he would do for a good defense, especially with such a small sample size. The Browns are looking to replace the replaceable.
I understand that the Browns are looking to replace the replaceable and improve the d-line as a whole. My point was they didn't have a next man up mentality last week, they just upped everyone's snap count when Ogbah went down. It will be more concerning if they go into week two with the same mentality. D-line is just as much about keeping guys fresh as keeping the most talented players on the field. If we lose Garrett or Ogunjobi to injury from over playing them, the O-line will get drastically worse.
I'm definitely hoping these guys can come in and be better replacements than Nassib was. They weren't ready for week one for one reason or another, which was more of the reason why I brought up Nassib snap count than anything. It only took one injury to shorten our rotation which shouldn't be the case if the roster is built properly.
