I think Hodge proved himself a bit more. I wonder if Higgins gets moved later in the year? It's great to have depth but Higgins should definitely be playing for some team on Sundays.

Massive, massive 4 game stretch coming up for us and we need to go at the least 2-2 to be in the hunt for that 6th or 7th playoff spot at the end of the year..

vs WASH
@ DAL
vs IND
@ PITT

Tough stretch.

They probably need to be 5-3 or better going into the bye to have a realistic chance. The 5 week stretch after the bye is looking pretty brutal at this point:

Houston
Philly
@Jax
@Ten
Baltimore

It was the right move. And for those who say, “they got lucky that Cincy fumbled in so close to the end zone,” that’s the point. A TD is worth more than a FG, and even if you don’t get either, by failing then you put the other team’s offense in the most difficult situation possible.

Exactly. You pretty much always go for it on the goalline, short of a situation where a FG effectively ends the game.

I wasn't even mad when we didn't get in, because I knew Cincy was in deep shit being backed up like that.

Nobody values Rashad Higgins 1/19th as much as Browns fans do lol

That's true but I think he will show his value sometime this season. He is just lost in the shuffle right now. Hunt and the TEs are taking up alot of the opportunities that a 3rd WR would get.

Alright now. Am I crazy for bringing up Earl Thomas over and over? Would a 1 year deal be such a bad idea? He should be open to that and he can parlay it into a 2-3 year deal for another team next season and ride out his career. We really need a Safety. Ward is on an island. Money Mitch held his own. We’re at least getting some help at LB with Mack Wilson coming back. We have got to get a Safety in here though man.

I personally would try to bring back Damarious Randall. He is younger and having previous played with some of this group should make his transition quicker.

Power I, baby. Like the ‘91 Euclid Panthers.

We need to talk 90s Cleveland high school sports more often. Salad days of the region, Pepe Pearson and ReShawn Jernigan! (Spelling is probably a nightmare on both).

Stefanski is the real deal as a coach, the players are just learning the system. Let's see if they can keep up, because for once the coaching isn't the problem.

That's not a terrible idea, though knowing Randall there were probably some harsh feelings when he left. He also wasn't very good last year.

But, we gotta bring someone in. Mack Wilson will help but he alone isn't saving this defense.

If I am the Browns, I go out and add some depth to this defense. Cut the bottom 4 and go sign Todd Davis (former Woods guys), Clinton DIx, Sheard and probably anther DB. Their tackling was atrocious. You have 10 days until the next game to implement someone and get them in the system.

He has been productive when he's on the field. You don't think he could be somebody's third option as opposed to an inactive?

Maybe we can get a 5th or 6th round pick for him. It just seems like a waste to just hold on to him.

Sendejo has been pretty awful so far. Joseph better but he's so small that he's better in the box and not in coverage. Harrison screwed up on Burrow's first TD pass - got there a bit too late but he should have been running over there much earlier.

Bengals were smart to run a spread offense to isolate and shred our depleted secondary. Other teams will mimic this until we prove we can defend it. Our LBs are young and aggressive but not sound tacklers (lost count of how many tackles Takitaki whiffed on). However, it will be nice to not have to worry about mobile QBs for the next several games. The defense will be better against Haskins next week. I know the Football Team has a good pass rush but they're probably a bit overrated due to the Eagles missing their entire offensive line. Kevski-type offenses can mitigate pass rush with effecting running and PA, too.

I think we beat Washington more handily than we did with the Bengals.
