Browns are really going all in on the "win in the trenches" mindset -- clear desire to built elite DL and OL.

I agree, I would add that they have heavy investments in the defensive backs which matches Wood's zone heavy scheme, but due to injuries a casual fan wouldn't know it without some research.

Browns fans haven't seen this defense even close to full strength. Delpit is gone for the season but I can't wait to see these other guys get on the field at the same time.

We are about to find out how good our O-line is this week. Arguably one of the tougher lines they will face all year. I just hope we didn't look great simply because of the talent in front of us. The tape tells me that isn't the case. I like these running schemes.

The Bengals defensive front is no slouch.

They’re just not very good on the back end just like us.

This may be the game in which Baker will be able to rely the least (comparatively) on the running game, so it'll be a test for him as well as for the guys blocking.

Just like Philly did when they made their Super Bowl run. They had the best DL and OL in the league.

Hmm.....

Where did Andrew Berry work before The Browns brought him back? Philly. He wasn't there when they won the Super Bowl but he definitely took some things with him.

Bengals were missing both of their starting DTs Thursday so that definitely made a difference. Who knows how much, but things were easier up the middle because of it. Washington should be a big test for the line.

Joe Woods scheme asks a lot of different skills of Harrison that Gus Bradley's Cover 3 never asked of him.

Jalen Ramsey recently gave the Jacksonville coaches a harsh criticism saying "We did the same thing every game." Woods isn't known for a lot of elaborate blitz packages, but he is known for asking his safeties to switch up zone schemes from play to play.

I do think Harrison has it in him to adapt. Nick Saban is one of the best defensive back coaches in football. Harrison just has to tap into some concepts he hasn't used in a long time.

Great points. I also believe Harrison has it in him to adapt, and I think that may be why he is being brought along so slowly.

After we traded for Harrison, I was really happy about what I learned about him in Alabama. Not so much his big hits and plays, but how Saban alluded that he was the true QB of the defense. I'll see if I can find it, and post here.

If we can get Harrison up to playing how Woods wants him to be playing, then he and Delpit could be scary in the future.....Delpit recovery notwithstanding.

Brandon Schreff, Washington’s best OL and one of the better guards in the league, injured his knee against the Cardinals and will miss a few weeks. Hate to see it, but should help the Browns DL have another field day.

this is a game we should win. Turnovers/Penalties/Mistakes.We have to get to 2-1 here.
