Wills had two mistakes by my eye, but yeah, that’s fantastic. Teller looking like an all-pro too. Callahan is a phenomenal coach.

Agreed.

But might have been different outcome if Chase Young had been able to play in the 2nd half.

This game was a weird one. I want to be excited about the win, but if it wasn’t for Haskins’ throwing multiple interceptions, there’s a very good chance we lose this game.

Haskins = a less nimble Marcus Mariota

Not sure the result would have been different, but I think we would have had to make a few running adjustments at halftime. I’d imagine we’d have seen more 21 formation.

ETA: game is much closer, too

Purely my opinion, but they need to try Karl Joseph at FS and Ronnie Harrison at SS. Sendejo was signed to be veteran depth, and it's painful watching him struggle so much. I'll also venture a guess that Redwine must have been a nightmare in closed practices. He can't even see one snap and the guy ahead of him on the depth chart is dropping deuces all over the field.

I hate this take to be honest.

Its giving no credit to the defense for causing turnovers. One of the picks was a great jump by Goodson, the strip sack by Garrett was awesome, and our offensive line dominated on the ground 75% of the game. On top of that our coach actually coached to the team's strengths and came up with a game plan against the best defensive line in football.

Basically you could have also said our coaching staff schemed against a young qb who hadnt thrown a pick yet to get him to create 3 int's and pressured him without blitzing causing another fumble. Used the running game to help control the clock and kept the best defensive line in football to only 2 sacks,

Also, how long until Sendajo is cut? I legitimately think just having him not on the field would be a net positive for this team.

I hate to say it but he looked awful. Any chance putting Goodson at safety once Mack is back? lol

The defense still gives me headaches. Few of those turnovers were solid and the line locked down when they needed. Still want to see a healthy unit.

As for the offense? When they run their shit, they’re really good. I thought the third quarter was weird in terms of the situations Stefanski put Baker in. Everything settled in the fourth and they fucking rolled.

Maybe I’m being a tad harsh, but my main criticism here isn’t really about this game or giving individual players like Goodson and Myles credit for their undoubtedly spectacular plays that contributed to the win, it’s moreso extrapolating on how this defense will perform against better offenses. Against an above average offense, this defense likely would have lost us the game.

The defense is definitely going to lose us games this year. Just not enough talent in the secondary with all the injuries.

You can only fix so much in one offseason. This past year, the focus was obviously on building the O-line and D-line. And thus far, it has been a success in that regard. The offensive line looks fantastic and the D-line is generating consistent pressure. This offseason will be the time to fix the secondary unless they can find a trade that provides an immediate upgrade.

I def am a believer in having good veterans for the locker room but he is just terrible and so physically outmatched at this point that any value he has as a "vet" is not worth the roster spot.

Previous Browns teams didn’t capitalize on turnovers. Thus team turned them into 1 game sealing field goal, and another 17 points. That’s awesome.

The defense did loose us a game against a good offense. We are also missing 5 starters by my count. Ward was gone, greedy, delpit, mack and Vernon, And maybe Jacob Phillips is a starter with how weak our linebackers are. That hurts even the best defenses, and let's be honest, with them we were hoping for average. A win is a win, it wasn't that long ago....two seasons....that we went 1 - 31.
