Cleveland Browns 2021 Regular Season: RIP

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Believe it or not with the Bengals loss, our destiny is still in our own hands. That is almost hard to believe.

What is hard to believe... that we will rise to the occasion. I'll only believe it if and when I see it.

I have no confidence in our defense getting stops on 3rd down although they came through a few times today, just not when it counted most. I almost always expect a big penalty, a gashing run for big gain, or a 30 yard pass when anything short of those things would get us off the field.

I have lost confidence in our offenses ability to put together scoring drives down the field. Too many 3 and outs, and too many times potential drives are snuffed out by either penalties or miscues (drops).

I have lost confidence that KS and Woods will play to win, instead of playing not to lose. Both are too conservative when some aggressiveness could turn a game around.

I was encouraged by Mayfield's play today. I don't think his shoulder will be a problem going forward but to be sure he could always take a big hit and all that could change.

Nine games left, with 5 of them being in our division. I wish I felt confident that this team will perform well when they can control their own destiny, but I can't.

Outside of the Lions game, you could argue that we are dogs in every other game.

Playoffs? Playoffs? Cmon….this is a lottery team. All this talent, if we don’t make the playoffs, next year could be Stefanki’s last.

Your posts come off as someone that is really into sports talk radio :chuckle:

What do you have against Stefanski other than to rile up the board?

I think he offense is unimaginative and not vertical enough. I agree with his decision to go on 4th but not his play calls. I think he has cost us games by giving KC and LA the ball back. I think his defenses have lacked creatively on applying pressure. He also relies too much on TEs on offense. He should be a lot better this year than he is. Today he was ourcoached at home to a bad team without a kicker.

Are you just trolling at this point?

I have not wanted to believe what others have said about you.

But it is really difficult to not see trolling when your sole contributions are short shit posts only at the end of losing games.

You never write substantive posts, nor do you engage in good-faith debates.

It is a pattern of behavior I am not a fan of...

I invite you to rethink your methods.

A bit, I mean I am taking a bit of a victory lap, too many posters using my name in vain. I guess I’m here for my pound of flesh. But I’ll scale it back since Stannis himself has spoken.

I have tried to point out the flaws of this team. And I see a lot of problems with the head coach. This team has not gotten better it’s gotten worse. He fails to put out talent in good position and instead has a TE centric offense. His playcalling is just meh. I’m as disappointed as anyone else, but again, I knew this team had some fools gold last year. The Super Bowl talk was always nuts.
At best this was the 5th or 6th team in the AFC.

Anyways, here’s to hoping something drastically changes in the next week.

Our 2 best athletes(besides Garrett) are minimized in our offense and defense. Ward/OBJ
Baker is a rhythm QB and we do nothing to help him get this rythm
Our play calling is really bad when games get tight.
Nijoku is a walking pro bowl TE and some games he is our 3rd option at TE. I know I am stretching it there but Nijoku is a freak.
Penalties is about discipline. I like Harrison but this is his 2nd stupid penalty. He should of sat rest of game.

All of this is coaching. We won last year on pure talent cause of really no practices or training camp because of covid. We are not putting guys into positions that help them succeed. We have no big plays. The only one I can remember is Nijoku big run on a catch. This offense makes it where u gotta be perfect for 20 plays and 80 yards.

Can't blame Mayfield. He played good enough today to win.

However 35 passing plays to 23 rushing plays isn't a winning recipe for this time.

You did a great job of describing some of my beefs with the way Stefanski calls the plays.

They took away the run with their defensive gameplan. Hell they openly said as much all week leading up… Kev called a game to exploit that, and if our pass catchers do their job then it works. So much of this game was lack of execution from that department. I was perfectly fine with his play calling with the exception of his 4th down call that defied his own identity.

The NFL draft has a lottery?

Obviously we all know there is not a draft lottery, but it’s become part of vernacular that a bottom 10 team is a lottery team. But you have to watch the games and shows to know this. Can’t just box score watch.
