Cleveland Browns 2021 Regular Season: RIP

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We have two top ten NFL RBs and neither could care less about getting theirs over team success. Wild.

i think quite frankly its because they make each other better and both of them know it. They have different running styles that come close to perfectly complimenting each other, just like their personalities. Each guy can get his 10-15 touches a game go absolutely all out and know the other guy is going to push the other team just as hard.

I *think* they both also realize that having another back prolongs their career. Instead of falling off a cliff at 30, perhaps they can play a few extra years...

Interesting stuff from opposing teams fans on the Browns, particularly Baker.

The common saying is this: "Stop Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt to force Baker to pass. He will make mistakes." A lot of Bears fans did it and because they have a good run defense, expected a bunch of Baker interceptions. Now I see plenty of Vikings fans saying the same thing (Texans fans expected to get blown out, and Chiefs fans thought they'd run us over).

Now I'm perfectly fine knowing that it'll be awhile before Baker sheds his reputation of being an interception machine. And as long as he isn't putting up big 350+ yard 4 TD games that casual fans drool over then he may always have that rep. It just makes me feel good that he has grown as much as he has and seems to be underestimated. I also feel like that perspective is kinda shared throughout the league, since often times we see opponents very early in the game stacking the box and collapsing hard trying their hardest to stop CHUNT and dare Baker to beat them.

Maybe that's why we see Stefanski passing more in the beginning sometimes, softening them up and then unleashing CHUNT.
Makes complete sense to take whatever the defense is giving you, whenever.

I don't think its rocket surgery, the offense is more than enough to keep 2 backs happy.

Hunt had 238 touches, 1145 total yards, and 11 touchdowns last year
Chubb had 206 touches, 1217 total yards, and 12 touchdowns last year

And yeah, Chubb missed 4 games last year. Ok cool, take like 40 touches from Hunt and give them to Chubb instead. Who cares.

When you run 78 plays in a game Montario Hardesty can come back and split carries with Reuben Droughns

The defensive improvements should result in more possessions, which is good for keeping offensive guys happy. Although at least in terms of RB's, it just doesn't seem to be an issue with those guys.

A hydrogen peroxide gargle/rinse for any mouth sore feels freaking great if you haven’t tried it… can’t judge the video without seeing if he spits it out….

Love the mundane videos from behind the curtain of the team. I want to connect with this group as much as a fan can after 20 years of misery.

6'1, 175lbs, played at North Carolina Central. Played in Senior Bowl, Didnt play in 2020 because of Covid and school.

He was as early as a 4th round prospect as far as I can tell. Ran 40 at 4.6 at his pro day with a 37 inch max vert didnt play against elite competition, was an undrafted rookie who was with Saints but didnt make roster.

Project for sure, but there was some buzz around him pre draft, obviously this is just recent research, not like i know any players from NCCU, lol

@Deezus and I are NCCU fans. We were very disappointed in the MEAC cancelling the 2020 season.

We’ve had a middling season so far but Coach Trei should be able to get us back on track. With three black college football national titles and five conference championships under his belt, he certainly has the chops for it. As an NCCU alum there’s a little extra on the line for a man who has coached a wide variety of positions and once played punter AND defense when he attended the school.

Grounded in a legacy of 111 years of excellence, NCCU is a school that offers top-ranked programs in key disciplines. They prepare their students for success in a global marketplace, and that’s not something to take lightly.

Fly Eagles.

Let’s flap over to @Damage for a Rutgers update.

Tons of Universities in Durham, NCCU, Durham Tech Community College, Shaw University.

And off the top of my head, those are the only Durham North Carolina schools I can think. I only know because my best friend Duke was a NCCU grad and I used to love visiting him when we were both in college.

Duke sounds like a great guy.
