Cleveland Browns 2022 Regular Season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Jefferson, Chase, Metcalf, Waddle, Lamb in the top 25.

Higgins honorable mention.

Considering there's basically 12 positions on a football team (not including holder, punter, kicker or returner), having 5 guys from 1 position group seems like a lot.

After next year you’ll be able to add DPJ to that list ;)

Is he any good?

JOK showing well here.

It's going to be interesting to see how JOK evolves in a non-Woods defensive scheme and how he's used. He fit well under Woods because the scheme employed speed and needed linebackers to be pseudo safeties. Not the case in a more traditional defense.

Are we 100% sure Woods won't be brought back?

Say the defense continues to turn things around...

This is what I referenced when the question of “what does firing Woods midseason accomplish?” was posed.

I wanted him gone so that he couldn’t falsely justify getting another year at the helm. Even with the gaping hole at DT, we would be in the driver’s seat for the division if his secondary didn’t start yet another season completely lost, costing us multiple games.

Fool me once…

This should not even be entertained.

It is flat out unacceptable for this defense to have been the worst in the league 10 weeks into the season. I don't give a shit what happens from here...unless this team wins the Super Bowl, Woods needs to be fired into the goddamn sun.

This isn't a new thing, either. Last year the defense was a trainwreck for the first month or so of the season.

The season before, the defense was trash for the entire season, though the personnel was also trash.

This is who Joe Woods is. You can bank on his defense being trash for at least a quarter of every reason, regardless of personnel and even continuity.

He fucking sucks. We should be in the driver seat to win the division right now and instead we need to win out to maybe get a Wild Card spot and Joe Woods is by far the most responsible for us being in the position we're in.

JOK should be used as a spy and a wildcat type disrupter. He should be our Polamalu. Sometimes drop him to cover tight ends, or bring him on the blitz, or let him spy Lamar, or let him find and shoot gaps to break up running plays. Scheme some sets to cover the normal responsibilities without him and let him improvise. It kept Steelers opponents off balance for years.

NFL really positioning this game to get a lot of eye balls :chuckle:
