Cleveland Browns 2022 Regular Season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Why even let Haden retire a Brown? He left to go to the enemy.
He wants to retire here. That's a good thing.

I have no problem with players going to another team after we cut them. If you're going to say that they shouldn't do what's best for them, thats an asshole move.

Joe did what was best for his career and now comes back home to retire as a Brown. Good for him. Congratulations on a great career. Not many Browns first round picks can say they had one.

It speaks volumes that even after he went to Pittsburgh he decided to wear the Browns uniform on retirement day.

When's the last time you saw something like that?

(whispers) the perception of the Browns as a team/franchise isn't all "factory of sadness" after all

It's a feel good story when we could use one.

Also what's the alternative? Tell him no? If nothing else it's good for club/player relations.

Also who cares?

Honestly I am shocked Hayden wants to retire a Brown, but if that's what he wants, let him.

This play too me is an example of what I think we're going to see when Deshaun comes back. Definitely with Chubb, Hunt, Njoku, Cooper, and Schwartz on the field. I think Schwartz role will expand when Deshaun Watson comes back. His speed will open up the field and allow us to utilize mismatches like Kareem on a LB or Njoku on a DB in space.

If this was us in this formation, Njoku would be 1on 1 outside with a DB. Kareem would be 1on 1 with a LB. Amari Cooper is one of the best route runners in the league too. Plays like this will open up the field for us to take advantage of these mismatches.

And I'm not saying that Schwartz is as good as Waddle but the threat of his speed is there. Kareem is also one of the best pass catching RB's in the league. Njoku is a mismatch for most DB's too.

The browns have found a ton of success with this against the Steelers in previous victories.

Working slot players out into favorable matchups against LBs and springing big plays. We saw countless times they’d move Jarvis or Hunt out onto Spillane in space and profit.

The opportunities will be there again, but the Steelers have started playing more 5DB coverages earlier in the season.

The counter to this would be a heavy dose of Chubb and Hunt. I suspect we'll see a lot more runs out of shotgun this game too.

Am I the only person the wishes our mascot and logo were just a dog? America loves dogs and you cannot convince me that if our mascot and logo were a Bullmastiff our franchise wouldn't have more goodwill?

What if at every home game we let a random fan adopt a puppy? There are plenty of dogs that need adoption and if 8 times a year a dog were to be adopted in from of 70,000 fans I fully believe that our franchise would be viewed more positively.

Nobody would care if we'd just win more consistently and stop doing dumb ass shit.
