I love it. He’s a hardass but that’s what this soft team needs. He’s got 40 less wins than the blue jackets have in their history. He can win. He has always had elite coaching staffs. Time to weed out the soft players who aren’t worth a keeping.

I think Anaheim drafted a center third overall just a couple years ago and have another young center. I think the fact Carlsson also plays some wing might have mattered to them.

Carlsson is also not even close to being a bad prospect.

This was a loaded draft at center. Bedard being a generational talent obviously helps that but Fantilli, Carlsson, and even Will Smith the last month or two would've all had arguments for going #1 in a draft not including Bedard. Fantilli falling to 3 is a huge win for CBJ, with respect to Carlsson. Both will have great careers

Teams make mistakes every draft. This was one of them. Fantilli is a 1st overall pick in most drafts.

Overall great draft by jarmo. Brindley was a steal in the 2nd. He’s a first round talent. I think he and fantilli were roommates in college too.
