That shot looked SO pretty opening night. And the passes, man I had no idea he had this type of game.

I dunno. He showed the same flashes last season. Last night he really put it together in the second half, but you could always see he had it in him. It really is just a matter of consistency as well as showing that he has real, innate ability to knock down those 3pt shots and change the defensive scheme of the opposing teams and how they defend Darius and as a result the Cavs as a whole.

You just don't know if some players have it in them. We still don't know if his shot is as good as advertised...let's see some consistency!

He was really aggressive driving I thought, more than I have seen. Despite the Rozier stuff he competed on D. I need that jumper to be real. Looked great spotting up last night. That will open his game up if he can keep it up

Rozier was just stupid hot last night. I wouldn't blame our guards for that performance. Besides, we got the Dub & our guards contributed themselves.

Drummond was as responsible for that as our guards. Biyombo is a good screen setter and Rozier was shooting the second he got any separation. Drummond needed to stick a hand in his face and he was covering the Biyombo 20 feet from the basket instead. JB deserves some criticism for not changing the coverage, and Drummond deserves some criticism for not recognizing the need to adjust after 7 years in the league

This. Garland underperformed my prediction last season, but he showed promise. The second half last night was all of his talents put together.

I think Garland probably is a rich man’s D.J. Augustine, but he has the potential to be elite. The question never was about his potential. It’s if two guards that can’t play defense could offset that problem with their offense (thanks @The Human Q-Tip).

I am nothing but ecstatic about his performance last night and will continue to root for him. If Garland can be outstanding then it makes the Cavs’ life much easier.

Also - and I can’t emphasize this enough - I really am just enjoying having a team of young guys that are developing.

A lot of our instincts were right early last year. Garland will be the better player compared to Sexton. Comes down to better vision, basketball iq, and poise.
