I agree with this, Tip, but offer that whether you call it social disorder or something touching a spectrum, Collins alpha is so self consumed that even to start year 4, he's simply not wired to galvanize others or make the game easier for them outside of the spacing his scoring provides or dumpoffs from his blow by speed.
I don't fault him for it, I think I love him and instead see a tragedy in a dude who simply wants to eat & sleep to get buckets, not being with a competent enough org/coaching to maximize him.
When he was out there for 3 minutes to start the 4th with all 3rd stringers on both sides, he made one pass to Pangos that should have resulted in a layup but other than that there were about 4 possessions where his approach to the game and impact on the game, was the same as if he were playing with 9 other All-stars. Shot and made a pull-up 3, stood in the corner watching high PNR, passed to Pangos when his man helped on Sexton, stood and watched high PNR he was not involved in, subbed out.
He's simply just wired to score. Not lead, not communicate and inspire teammates to follow, not make the game easier for less talent... Score.
And a alpha scorer can be a dangerous bullet to have in your chamber, if you know when to situationally use it... (Off the bench)
