Pretty much. Kyrie was coming off injury and didn't exactly light the world on fire out of the gate. Same with Curry back in the day.
Even Trae Young looked pretty ordinary at the beginning of last season.
It's going to take time folks. I have no doubt with that shot/handle he's going to have a very successful NBA career but don't expect miracles esp to start the season. They're going to play the long game with this kid.

Yeah people think he is going to be better than Sexton from day 1, but Sexton has played big minutes all 82 games to get where he is. Very few rookies just light it up with no growing pains.

Still he is very skilled for his age, so we just have to see how much adjusting he needs to do
