Yeah people think he is going to be better than Sexton from day 1, but Sexton has played big minutes all 82 games to get where he is. Very few rookies just light it up with no growing pains.

Still he is very skilled for his age, so we just have to see how much adjusting he needs to do

No adjusting. He just needs to step on the court..even with a cast or a boot, or sitting down even. Pass him to midcourt and let him splash. I watched his videos and I did not see him miss.

As for Darius Garland ... a lot of teams were trying to trade up to make Garland their point guard of the future. Koby Altman refused the advances of several teams, including the Minnesota Timberwolves, and decided to push forward with Garland and Collin Sexton.

That is scary, we know how good the Timberwolves are at drafting PG's, and they have drafted a buttload of them.

Can someone explain why Darius looks like he is about to burst in laughter after every sentence? It's cute, but ya know... He has that cheeky smile of a high school student that is just about to fart in class.

He's a nervous smiler. If his girlfriend catches him cheating he will smile a lot and she will lose her mind on him.

I see what you did there.

Garland plays like a vet. his trigger is is so quick teams will have to stay close so his lack of hyperspeed is not an issue. Really impressed by his passing ability and he even managed to finish inside which has been a concern.

Kid has got a great feel for the game, really seems like he already has a good understanding of how to run a team. Doesn't look like a 19 year old rookie who hasn't played competitively in almost a year. I can't wait to see how his game grows once he's actually in shape and gets stronger.

Darius is still not nearly as quick as he was before the injury. I hope he gets it back soon. Sky is the limit for him if he regains and reven adds quickness.

Still he had that spidery slither. He can move in any direction with the ball on a string. That pass to the cutting Love was impressive.

I'm so psyched the people who said he was a playmaker were right

He has/had the vision, instincts and willingness to pass, just sloppy and inconsistent execution. It will automatically be better with better spacing and less zone in the NBA, and if he hasn't cleaned it up yet he will in due time.

His stats and bad AST/TO ratio were not indicative of his playmaking ability.
