So I don’t think that trading Prince has anything at all to Dean not playing. What makes you think they’ve even talked about trading Prince?
It’s interesting that his injury, which has been vastly underreported compared to other injuries on the team, sort of coincided with Dean getting/earning a more regular role.

Because I have read things in the media that Prince is on the table. Honestly i dont mean this as an insult, but it will come out as an inslut i know. You have a ton to learn, i am guessing you are very young or maybe foreign? There is a ton of nuances in the NBA and featuring players, who gets the first shot at playing time, ect that you dont get.

And Prince was given the first shot at PF for several reasons. One he is a vet and a proven commodity to a certain level, 2 he is signed for another year and the cavs want to save the 11 mill if they can, and 3, Wade was young, undrafted, and that makes him the last to get the opportunity.

Just learn from the board, instead of fighting it like you think you know more.

YES they would love to trade Prince, this is a fact. Will they? Maybe not, but who wants a guy making 11 mill not playing. yes that means in a perfect world they trade Love, but right now Love would cost a huge asset to get rid of him.

Yup I’m pretty young. Coached for 40+ years with 5 state championships. Lol. I’ve moderated other boards. I don’t think I’ve got much more to learn from coaching or moderating a forum! LMAO. That post was one for the ages!!

They've been trying to trade Prince since the moment they acquired him

Ok. And you know that how????? From reading a forum?? Did you know there’s a difference about being available to trade from trying to trade?

So the bigger issue is not how soon he got playing time. Now it is the fact that he was red hot and playing very well yesterday (and this is not only case of this and it is not only about Wade either). He comes out halfway through 2nd and doesn't get back in until the very end of the 3rd. The other coach was probably happy we froze our our hot shooter.

He is easily one of our 5 best defenders (he plays great help side D, always in the right spot and has quick enough feet to stay in front of guards) -but yet when we needed D to end the game, Cedi was in?!?

Again this is not just about Wade. Stevens played a great game the other day-and his reward? ZERO minutes the next game.

I get in the NBA sometimes minutes are given to those for developmental reasons--but at some point you give minutes to those earning them.

Cedi should not be in the rotation at this point.

Be honest, were you rooting for the Chiefs against the Browns in the playoffs?

They acquired him specifically for the purpose of trading him. You're not the only one who talks to people :chuckle:

It's unfortunate that Prince got hurt and threw a wrench into those plans.

There are people on the board(and other parts of the board) who are well connected with multiple points of contact to the org and other NBA orgs. It was well known when they hopped in the Broooklyn/HOU Harden trade to acquire Jarret Allen that Prince was just part of the necessary salary component/price of admission for the Cavs to get into the deal and swipe Allen. While, as with almost any new player that an NBA team acquires, they had nice things to say about Prince and his fit and his professionalism, etc etc at the time of the trade, he was merely just a cog in the trade and not someone they were targeting as a part of their vision for the team this year or moving forward.

Part of the business of the game. In HS ball you almost only ever have access to the players in your district. In College Ball, you only recruit the players you want and would almost take a lesser talent or non fit just to secure a commitment from his teammate or AAU best friend that you do want. But in the pros, and especially in trades, often many of the players acquired in a complex large multi team trade or just salary filler and essentially pawns to make the trade work for all parties.

Would you like Koby’s cell phone number?
It’s not a dick measuring contest. No one is trying to compete with you or questioning your particular authenticity and closeness to a member/members of the Cavs. Butnor are they making shit up out of thin air.

There is a section on this board that has had info on inner workings, player releases, coach hiring and firing info, potential trades, trades that happened well before they happened and well before reported elsewhere. That’s based on 15 year relationships with some people within NBA circles that have provided solid reliable information in advance for said 15 years.

And most of the leaks lead to more press coverage and that’s about it. 98% garbage.

There are people on this board with legit inside knowledge. For example, someone on here guaranteed Lebron was coming back a week before it happened and put it all on the line even though he was already a trusted source. There are other people who are friends with management or know management. You have posted less than 500 times and not on any of the insider channels on here.

That said, there is something called common sense, and ofcourse they were trying to trade Prince. They mad the trade to get Allen, Prince is who they had to take to make the deal work. They want off that contract if they can, its logic but it has been confirmed. And no one has told me this either, but they would love to get off of the Love contract, and here is a shocker, there is zero chance they think the Drummond experiment worked and zero chance they are extending him.

You lose a ton of credibility with me and others thinking they dont want to trade Prince, or thinking an undrafted 2nd year player who was playing for a G-Leage team didnt have to work his way up.

Just silly actually. You are old enough to know better, not sure why you dont.
