In the long run coaches don't determine playing time, not in the NBA. Players do based on their performance.
If Wade continues to play well he'll get minutes. If he lights it up consistently he'll start.
Your theory that the NBA doesn't value really good undrafred players is just wrong. Any NBA team would be thrilled to have Dean Wade's contract if he could do 16 - 8 as a PF and play D, especially with a three point shot. The reason is the team can use cap money elsewhere.
I don't understand why you are so upset. The Cavaliers have brought him along fairly well IMHO. He's far from a finished product and he'll have to face some beasts if he starts consistently (so far he hasn't had to do that). Like all players with limited experience it will take time for him (that doesn't apply to LeBron and Zion and similar players of course).
